  • Patent number: 4633910
Abstract: In this pulsation absorbing device, a cylindrical resilient protective diaphragm and an inner cylinder formed with one or more communicating holes are disposed within a cylindrical pressure vessel being in concentrical with each other.Along the outer surface of the inner cylinder one or more arched resilient valve members and one or more leaf springs being laminated with each other are disposed capable of being raised or lowered depend upon the extent of the fluid pressure, thereby the arched valve member can be separated in its function of valve action and spring property, therefore the both members are strengthened by the lamination as well as their deformation and extent of fatigue can be kept minimum.

  • Patent number: 4628964
Abstract: A protective device for employing in an accumulator wherein, in a pressure vessel, a separating member dividing the interior of the pressure vessel and a supporting cylinder having open pores as said protective device are coaxially arranged in order of approaching the axis. The protective device is for protecting the separating member from damage when the separating member is pressed against the supporting cylinder. By virtue of employing the novel protective device in an accumulator, the fluid flow through the supporting cylinder is not hindered and no fragments detached from the material of supporting cylinder enter the fluid to damage the fluid system.

  • Patent number: 4600035
Abstract: This pulsation absorbing device is received in a cylindrical pressure vessel includes a cylindrical resilient diaphragm and an inner cylinder formed with a plurality of communicating holes around its wall. It is further provided with one or more slidably movable valve shoes and both of said diaphragm and the inner cylinder are disposed concentrical with each other. One or more arched leaf springs are disposed along the outer face of the inner cylinder and at the place able to cover the communicating holes and are slidably coupled to the inner cylinder by suitable number of pins; and the stroke of the slidable movement given to the pins is made larger than the stroke of the spring motion of said leaf springs, consequently, impinging of the stopper of the pin against the inner cylinder can be avoided, even if the pins may travel being urged by the leaf spring, due to sudden change of fluid pressure in the inner cylinder, over the stroke of the leaf spring.

  • Patent number: 4452275
Abstract: A flanged cylindrical valve casing is loosely inserted into a bore of a pressure container from its inside towards its outside. A fuse packing is interposed between the flange and the inside surface of the pressure container so that when this fuse packing has molten the flange may make direct contact with the pressure container, to form a passageway between the flange and the pressure container communicating with the inside of the pressure container, and this passageway communicates with a gap clearance around the cylindrical valve casing as well as the outside of the pressure container.

  • Patent number: 4431200
Abstract: A back-up ring to prevent damage to a packing ring disposed in a groove on an internal piston within a cylinder. The back-up ring has a folded portion with concave and a convex surfaces to prevent damage to the ring when it is unfolded to enlarge the ring for placement in the groove and re-folds to seat in the groove. In another embodiment, holes are disposed in the folded portion to relieve stress concentrations accompanying folding and unfolding of the back-up ring.

  • Patent number: 4335751
Abstract: A mushroom-shaped shield body, that is, a shield body having a configuration consisting of a back surface tapered section having its diameter successively increased towards the inside of an accumulator and a stem portion, is disposed coaxially at the inside end portion of a liquid feed/discharge port of the accumulator, and an inner surface tapered section is formed along the circumference of the liquid feed/discharge port opposed to the back surface tapered section of the shield body to form an annular liquid flow path between said back surface tapered section and said inner surface tapered section so that the direction of the liquid flow passing through this annular flow path may be directed along the inner wall surface of the vessel of the accumulator, whereby a diaphragm disposed within the accumulator can be deformed so as to conform to the inner wall surface of the vessel and thus the volume efficiency of the accumulator can be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 4287916
Abstract: Valve device of bladder type accumulators consisting of a pressure vessel with a bladder enclosed therein, a valve body is secured in the bottom free end of the bladder and a valve seat is formed in the top inside periphery of a liquid pipe, the opposing faces of said valve body and valve seat are so formed to mate closely to each other that when the bladder expands a part of the bladder will not be caught between the valve body and valve seat, thus it is protected from being damaged.

  • Patent number: 4166478
Abstract: The hydropneumatic accumulator disclosed herein comprises a rigid upright vessel, the mouth of which is at the bottom, containing an inverted bag-like bladder. The mouths of the vessel and of the bladder are sealed to one another. The bladder extends upwardly within the vessel interior and divides the same into inner and outer compartments which respectively contain an incompressible liquid medium and a compressible gaseous medium. To protect the bladder from damage by uncontrolled flexure of its wall in response to variations in the relative pressures within the inner and outer compartments, an inverted conical shape-defining member projects down into the upper closed end of the bladder and a perforated rigid shell projects upwardly into the bottom of the bladder. In addition, vertically extending circumferentially spaced stiffening ribs are formed in the wall of the bladder to hold the bladder upright.

  • Patent number: 4143678
Abstract: In a bladder type accumulator the interior of which is divided by an expandable bladder into a gas chamber and a liquid chamber, a cartridge filled with gas is housed in said gas chamber, said cartridge is provided with a perforation means at its top for allowing pressure gas to flow out from said cartridge. During storage of the accumulator the cartridge is kept tightly closed so that the bladder remains relaxed and pressure of gas remains unchanged.

  • Patent number: 4084621
Abstract: The pressure vessel of a hydraulic accumulator comprises bowl-shaped body and lid members welded together edge to edge, lid member uppermost. A bowl-shaped diaphragm in the vessel having its concave surface facing up is supported by a rigid ring having a large diameter radially outer portion seated on an upwardly facing circumferential shoulder on the body member, near its rim. A smaller diameter radially inner portion of the ring is clinched over a bead around the edge of the diaphragm. The ring also has a frustoconical, upwardly tapering radially intermediate portion connecting its radially inner and outer portions, to hold the rim of the diaphragm at a high level in the vessel.

  • Patent number: 4059125
Abstract: A novel structure of pressure container is disclosed, wherein a safety valve is provided within an air injection valve of said pressure container, whereby even when the ambient atmosphere of said accumulator has been heated up to a high temperature because of a fire and the like, bursting of said pressure container may be prevented. A valve seat is formed inside of a valve casing and a fusible valve member is brought in contact with said valve seat, so that when the ambient temperature of said pressure container has been raised said fusible valve member may fuse to permit the gas pressure in the pressure container to be discharged to the exterior of the container.
