  • Patent number: 9283948
Abstract: In a vehicle that includes an engine, a motor, a generator, a battery electrically connected to the motor and the generator, and a transmission provided between the motor and an output shaft coupled to a drive wheel, an ECU executes “battery-less travel control” in which, at the time of a failure of the battery, the battery is isolated from the motor and the generator, the generator is caused to generate electric power by generating a torque, corresponding to an accelerator pedal operation amount, from the generator, and the vehicle is caused to travel by driving the motor using the electric power generated by the generator. The ECU suppresses losing a balance of input and output electric powers between the generator and the motor by filtering the accelerator pedal operation amount when a vehicle speed exceeds a limit vehicle speed during the battery-less travel control.

  • Patent number: 9271233
Abstract: A child station (3) of a communication system performs communication while synchronizing the reference time of a parent station (2) with the local time (RT) of the child station (3). When the child station (3) is switched from a normal mode to a power saving mode in accordance with a mode change instruction from the parent station (2), correction is performed for one or both of a stop period in which the apparatus of the child station (3) is stopped and a non-stop period in the power saving mode using an error (?t) generated during the time between the reference time of the parent station (2) and the local time (RT) of the child station (3). This makes it possible to synchronize the parent station (2) with the child station (3) and reliably and efficiently transfer a control frame (CF) from the parent station (2) to the child station (3).

  • Patent number: 9216664
Abstract: In a hybrid vehicle including an engine, a motor, a generator, and a battery that is electrically connected to the motor and the generator, an ECU performs “battery-less travel control” enabling the vehicle to travel when a fault occurs in the battery by disconnecting the battery from an electrical system including the motor and the generator and driving the motor using power that is generated by the generator using the power of the engine. When the battery-less travel control is underway and a vehicle speed V exceeds a vehicle speed limit Vsh, the ECU implements a vehicle speed limitation. As a result, a control mode of the motor is less likely to shift to a rectangular control mode during the battery-less travel control.

  • Patent number: 9193348
Abstract: A vehicle includes a drive unit that generates a driving force for driving a driving wheel, and an accelerator pedal. In the vehicle, the driving force generated by the drive unit is controlled on the basis of an operation amount of the accelerator pedal, which is operated by a user. It is determined whether or not the vehicle carries out coasting with the drive unit unactivated. It is determined whether a predetermined condition that an activation command for the drive unit be received from the user with the accelerator pedal operated is fulfilled during the coasting. An actual driving force that is transmitted from the drive unit to the driving wheel is limited with respect to a driving force that is required by the user, in comparison with a case where the vehicle travels in a state other than the coasting, if the predetermined condition is fulfilled.
