  • Publication number: 20090080001
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus of the present invention, when performing one-side printing during a predetermined period after two-side printing, a change in a carrying velocity of a post-process apparatus is prevented and thus recording paper having passed through a fixing section is carried and output at a velocity that is lower than a velocity for normal one-side printing and that is identical with a velocity for two-side printing. Consequently, it is possible to prevent dropping of productivity of the image forming system due to a time necessary for changing the carrying velocity of the post-process apparatus and to increase an operating ratio of the image forming system, even if the post-process apparatus is designed to completely stop the carrying roller etc. when changing the carrying velocity.

  • Patent number: 7434879
Abstract: A structure for attaching a frame-like spring being capable of effectively reducing the number of parts, is provided. According to this structure, a reaction force frame element which is a frame-like spring is attached via a lower frame portion and an upper frame portion so that pressurization is always provided in the movable range and the pressurization becomes the lowest at a predetermined position of a normal posture. Specifically, when the a reaction force frame element is made into the attaching preparation posture that the elastic repulsive forces are accumulated rather than a normal posture, the upper attaching portions include insertion portions for allowing insertion of lower ends and engagement portions to be engaged to the lower end portions due to an elastic repulsive force when the external force is released.

  • Publication number: 20080158607
Abstract: Even if similar images which are similar to specific images exist in image data, the influence of the similar images is eliminated so that restriction of processing can be executed without fail. There are provided a detection section 70 for detecting specific images and similar images in a form similar to the form of the specific images in the image data, a judgment section 71 for judging whether or not the specific images are included in the image data on the basis of a threshold, an identification section 72 for identifying a target area in which the similar images exist, and a threshold determination section 73 for determining the threshold. The threshold determination section 73 determines the threshold on the basis of the size ratio of the target area to a predetermined range.

  • Publication number: 20080144125
Abstract: When a specific image is detected in inputted image data, specific image judgment is performed in consideration of the importance degree of this specific image, and thereby, the accuracy of the specific image judgment is improved, and misjudgment is prevented. There are provided a detection section 70 for detecting a specific image in inputted image data, a judgment section 71 for judging whether specific images are included in the image data on the basis of a threshold, and a threshold determination section 65 for recognizing the characteristics of the detected specific image and determining the threshold according to the characteristics. The characteristics of the specific image are changed according to the importance degree of the specific image. The threshold determination section 65 judges the importance degree from the characteristics of the detected specific image.
