  • Patent number: 7558963
Abstract: The present invention provides a means for determining authenticity of a combination of files which are downloaded to a mobile station, and which are related to one another. To achieve the stated object, in a system according to the present invention, mobile station 16, which is capable of running a Java-APP, receives an ADF from CP server device 12. Then mobile station 16 receives a SDF from trusted server device 18, which is identified by data contained in the ADF. Mobile station 16 calculates a hash value of certificate data contained in the ADF, and verifies whether the calculated hash value of the certificate data and a hash value of the certificate data which is contained in the SDF are identical to each other. Next, mobile station 16 receives a JAR file from CP server device 12. Mobile station 16 calculates a hash value of the JAR file, and verifies whether the calculated hash value of the JAR file and a hash value of the JAR file contained in the ADF are identical to each other.

  • Patent number: 7526766
Abstract: In a case that communication functions configuring a host system use origination functions (resources), when JAM (“Java Application Manager”) stored in a mobile phone receives, from KVM (“K Virtual Machine”), request data indicating that a first Java AP (“application”) requests to execute an origination function, JAM executes or cancels an execution request by the first Java AP in accordance with an instruction input by a user. Further, when JAM cancels an execution request by the first Java AP, JAM provides to KVM notification data indicating that an execution request is cancelled.

  • Patent number: 7519687
Abstract: A mobile telephone 2 having a function for downloading and executing an application A from a network server comprises a communications module execution control system 1. The judging section 132 acquires and refers to an attribute information file 14. If the attribute information file 14 contains a (UseTelephone=call) definition, then the judging section 132 judges that the call section 102 is to be executed by the application A, and if there is no UseTelephone key, then it judges that the call section 102 is not be executed by the application A. If the UseTelephone value is not “call”, then the judging section 132 judges that the download of the application A is not allowed. The control section 136 controls the download and execution of the application A, in accordance with the judgement from the judging section 132.

  • Publication number: 20090002504
Abstract: An image sensor acquires images with resolutions being switched. A resolution switching unit switches the resolutions of the images to be output from the image sensor. An image selecting unit selects a basic image from a plurality of output images which are output from the image sensor, having different resolutions of two or more types switched by the resolution switching unit, at least including an image having a first resolution and an image having a second resolution higher than the first resolution. An image displacement estimating unit estimates a displacement between the basic image and another image. A resolution converting unit converts the resolution of any image in the plurality of output images output from the image sensor using the image having the first resolution and the image having the second resolution acquired by the image sensor and the displacement between images obtained by the image displacement estimating unit.

  • Publication number: 20080297648
Abstract: A blurring parameter operating section calculates a blurring parameter corresponding to a distance from an optical system to a subject, based on two luminance information items which have different blurring degrees and are acquired by changing an arrangement setting of the optical system. A distance estimating section estimates distance information corresponding to the distance from the optical system to the subject, based on the blurring parameter. A focus detection section acquires luminance information after changing arrangement setting of the optical system based on the distance information, acquires luminance information items having different blurring degrees by further changing arrangement setting of the optical system, calculates an evaluation value indicating a degree of focus from each of the luminance information items having the different blurring degrees, and determines the focal position based on the evaluation value.

  • Patent number: 7421577
Abstract: The present invention provides a means for reflecting modifications made in a server to data with regard to a scope of rights, which are granted to an application program operable in a communication device such as a mobile station, on data stored in the communication device. To achieve the aim, in a system according to the present invention, Java-AP software is provided to a mobile station by transmitting an ADF, a SDF and a JAR file from servers to the mobile station in that order. The SDF is a file containing data indicating restrictions of behavior of a Java-AP in a mobile station. The SDF also contains data indicating a validity state of the SDF, namely ‘valid’ or ‘invalid’, which is managed by management server device 18. Before a mobile station runs a Java-APP which is installed in the mobile station, the mobile station accesses management server device 18 and checks whether a SDF corresponding to the Java-APP is valid.

  • Publication number: 20080177950
Abstract: The present invention provides an information processing device for estimating usage of contents and properly limiting functions realized through use of the contents in accordance with the estimation. Usage of contents is estimated by determining in which of cache memory means and content storage means the contents are stored. When the contents are processed or executed, it is determined whether to limit functions realized through processing or execution of the contents, on the basis of the estimated usage of the contents and function limit information showing a rule regarding limits on functions realized through processing or execution. On the basis of the determination, the functions realized through processing or execution of the contents are limited.
