  • Patent number: 7365275
Abstract: Disclosed is an electromagnetic-force-balancing-type electronic balance having a magnetic circuit which includes a yoke 4, a first permanent magnet 1, a pole piece 3, a second permanent magnet 2 and a cover 5. A connection member 7 made of a magnetic material is disposed in an air-gap region included in the magnetic circuit. The connection member 7 may be disposed between the second permanent magnet 2 and the cover 5 or between the cover 5 and the yoke 4 to facilitate assembling operations. Alternatively, first and second gap-defining members 8, 9 made of a non-magnetic material may be disposed, respectively, between the first permanent magnet 1 and the yoke 4 and between the second permanent magnet 2 and the cover 5, to provide symmetric properties in magnetic sub-circuits so as to counteract an imbalance in hysteresis characteristic. The present invention can suppress adverse influences of a magnetic resistance caused by an air gap existing in the magnetic circuit of the electronic balance.

  • Patent number: 7347109
Abstract: A foil strain gage is attached to a strained section for outputting a resistance change proportional to a strain generated at the strained section. The foil strain gage includes two grid-shaped resistors disposed in parallel on an insulating base material as detecting sections. The two detecting sections generate identical detection outputs when the foil strain gage is bonded on the strained section.

  • Patent number: 7076990
Abstract: A load cell type weight measuring device includes a load cell formed of a strain member provided with a plurality of strain gauges and deforming according to a load applied to a load receptacle. The load cell type weight measuring device converts an output of a Wheatstone bridge circuit formed of the respective strain gauges into a weight value to display. Two weight receptacles are attached to the strain member. It is arranged such that when a load is applied to one of the load receptacles, a strain at a portion of the strain member provided with the strain gauges becomes smaller than that when the load is applied to the other of the load receptacles.

  • Patent number: 6621015
Abstract: An electronic balance is provided in which influences due to a four-corner error can be eliminated from an indicated value of weighing without strictly conducting mechanical adjustment, so that correct indication can be always performed. As means for attaining the object, a dish support 2 interposed between a weighing dish 3 and a load detecting mechanism 1 is configured by four cantilever beams 2a to 2d which respectively elongate in four directions, the weighing dish 3 is supported by the vicinities of tip ends of the cantilever beams 2a to 2d, and deflection amount detecting means 5a to 5d for respectively detecting deflection amounts of the cantilever beams 2a to 2d are disposed. The position of the center of gravity of a load on the weighing dish 3 is calculated by using outputs of the deflection amount detecting means 5a to 5d.
