  • Patent number: 10449043
Abstract: A medical device system may include a valve replacement implant including an anchor member reversibly actuatable between a delivery configuration and a deployed configuration, wherein the implant includes at least one locking element configured to lock the anchor member in the deployed configuration, and at least one actuator element configured to engage the at least one locking element and actuate the anchor member between the delivery configuration and the deployed configuration. The at least one actuator element may include a self-biased cam mechanism configured to extend into and engage a first locking portion of the at least one locking element.

  • Publication number: 20170325952
Abstract: A medical device release system may include an elongated rod having an enlarged distal end, a ring element slidingly disposed over the elongated rod, and two or more pins. The ring element may have a center channel sized and shaped to receive the elongated rod, wherein the enlarged distal end of the rod is larger than an inner diameter of the center channel, preventing the ring element from disengaging from the distal end of the rod. The two or more pins may each have a proximal end attached to the ring element and a distal end extending longitudinally and radially away from the ring element, the distal ends configured for releasable connection to a medical device.

  • Patent number: 7344601
Abstract: A fixture is provided for holding a hollow, cylindrical device from an inside surface that includes a plastic collar component and a main frame fixture insert molded into the plastic collar component. The fixture may include a cross-wire adapted to: loop over a section of the main frame fixture; traverse a space between the main frame fixture and the plastic collar component; and loop over a section of the plastic collar component. An apparatus is provided for holding a cylindrical device having an open interior and at least one open end. The apparatus includes an engagement arrangement including at least two activatable projections on a distal end and a base attached to a proximal end of the engagement arrangement. The projections move radially when activated.
