  • Patent number: 7092525
Abstract: An enhanced cryptographic system of high security for a ciphering of a block of data bits under control of a cryptographic key and for generating a one way transformation of a block of data bits with said cryptographic system being based upon the traditional DES but utilizing a variable permutation after the S box substitution function. Said variable permutation is able to be realized in an FPGA implementing the variable permutation via a switching network such as an Omega or Bennes-Waksman network with the switching network control elements under control of the cryptographic key and with an electable mode compatible with the traditional single DES and TDEA and their various modes and with a further capability for a privacy mode within a set of holders of common cryptographic key via a sub key selection mask. A method and process for efficient interruption and resumption of the cryptographic operation are also described.

  • Publication number: 20020051534
Abstract: An enhanced cryptographic system of high security for a referable ciphering of a block of data bits under control of a cryptographic key or for generating a non referable ciphering of a block of data bits with said cryptographic system being based upon the traditional DES but utilizing a variable permutation or linear transformation after the S box substitution function.

  • Patent number: 5335278
Abstract: An improved mobile telephone system, including a process and apparatus for detecting fraudulent requests for roamer cellular telephone services before the requested service is granted. The improvement comprises a distributed, readily updatable fraud prevention processor which facilitates a plurality of independent, geographically dispersed cooperating cellular networks to each locally determine if a roamer request for service is from a valid, currently authorized user subscriber before cellular telephone service is provided by the visited cellular network.

  • Patent number: 5229764
Abstract: A system activating and analyzing the biometric data from a plurality of biometrically-oriented personal identification devices at intermittent intervals selectively allows or prevents continued use of a particular protected system or device by a particular individual. The system is a continuous biometric authentication matrix which can employ any number of any variety of biometric personal identification devices including thumbscan, digital photo, voiceprints, fingerprints, and so on. The system acts as a continuously functioning "gate" between a system to be protected and a prospective user. A prospective user's biometric data is stored for reference. When the prospective user attempts to use the protected system or device, he or she must interface with the system, which then compares the prospective user's biometric data to the reference data.

  • Patent number: 5036542
Abstract: An audio surveillance discouragement apparatus or system comprising, at least, first generating device, second generating device, first speaker and second speaker. The first speaker is coupled to the first generating device, and the second speaker is coupled to the second generating device. The first generating device generates a first signal having a plurality of voice signals, synthesized vocal signals, and dummy intelligence signals, mixed with an audio frequency spectrum, which is approximately divided into a plurality of frequency bands with each of the frequency bands randomly and independently increasing or decreasing in volume, and may have a 20 dB pocket near 500 Hz. The second generating device generates a second signal which is nonsynchronous with the first signal. The second signal is identical in construction to the first signal, but is unique in identity and characteristics. Additional signals are constructed in the same manner and generated in the same manner.
