The outdoor lighting system comprises outdoor lamps which are distributed over spatial segments of an outdoor space. The emitted light intensity of the outdoor lamps is controllable per spatial segment, and references are used to refer to specific spatial segments.

Abstract: The invention relates to an installation tool for RF (Radio Frequency) networks, such as a wireless networked control system, for example a wireless lighting system. A basic idea of the invention is to provide an installation tool, which allows controlling a setting of a device by performing a simple and intuitive action with the tool, for example turning the tool like a screwdriver. An embodiment of the invention provides an installation tool (10) for a wireless network of devices, wherein the tool comprises a transceiver (12) to communicate wirelessly information with devices of the wireless network, an action detector (14) for detecting a user action with the tool, and a controller (16) configured to control a setting of one or more devices by means of the wireless transceiver upon receipt of an action signal from the action detector.

Abstract: In a method and system of configuring a control system for a plurality of devices (12) of different types, each device has at least one operating parameter. At least one operating parameter setting is stored in a memory for each device. The operating parameter setting depends on a use parameter. A set of devices is assigned to a first area (4, 6, 8, 10), and a use parameter is assigned to the first area. An operating parameter setting corresponding to the use parameter is selected for each device in the first area. A further use parameter is assigned to a plurality of areas (14) including the first area (4, 6, 8, 10).
