Abstract: Apparatus for scoring pastry includes a planetary train having a stationary wheel and a planet wheel in rolling engagement with the stationary wheel. The planet wheel is driven orbitally about the axis of the stationary wheel. A cutting tool mounted to the planet wheel describes repeating tracings and scores the pastry in a pattern corresponding to such tracings.

Abstract: An apparatus for sealing tarts or pies, particularly almond tarts, comprises a plate intended to receive the product to be subjected to the confection process, a suitably shaped mould arranged above said plate and fixed to a shaft capable of making an ascending-descending movement with a means for applying pressure to said product and a means associated with said mould and consisting of lateral arms carrying at their ends means for nipping and cutting into the periphery of the product to be obtained, said arms being activated in such a way that said nipping and cutting means are applied to said product when the mould is in its lower position.The apparatus enables a sequence of operations hitherto carried out manually with several different tools to be performed simply, economically and automatically.

Abstract: A process for moulding a food product consisting of a plastic mass, such as ice cream, and firm elements, such as biscuits. A multiple-cavity mould open downwards is placed on a fixed platform, a base is arranged in the mould on a vertically displaceable support, the biscuits are arranged between the base and the cavities and the mould is fitted with ice cream while the base is lowered.

Abstract: Apparatus shown in FIG. 1a for distributing and placing pseudo-spherical objects i.e. cherries, nuts, pralines on i.e. cakes, sweets, ice creams, comprising a hopper (1) adapted to co-operate with an element imparting an oscillating movement thereto, the lower opening of the hopper being situated immediately above and opposite the calibrated opening (5) of a cylindrical tube (3) for receiving the objects from the hopper. The cylindrical tube (3) is rotatable about its longitudinal axis between two end positions symetrical to one another in relation to mean position. A cylindrical rod (7) slides axially in an alternating movement inside the cylindrical tube.

Abstract: Field of the invention: filling machine industry.Device consisting of a lever made up of two arms arranged on each side of a fixed pivoting axis. The end of the first arm supports the end of a rod, movable axially and vertically to rotate the arm and ending at the other end in a load-carrying platform moving downwards as the load increases. The end of the second arm, consisting of two parts pivoting about a movable axis, carries a counter-weight and by sliding along the pivoting part on a fixed axis may itself slide along a straight inclinable rail. By suitable selection of both the weight of the counter-weight and the slope of the straight rail, the lever is balanced at the same time in two positions, one corresponding to zero load on the platform and the other to a predetermined load placed on the platform, there being substantial equilibrium in intermediate positions.Use: Metering of bulk products discharged into containers by filling machines.
