Abstract: Provided herein is a biocompatible polymeric material having a textured surface with an arithmetical mean height value (Sa) in a range of 0.1 to 10 ?m, a developed interfacial area ratio (Sdr) above 1.0, determined according to ISO 25178 using a Gaussian low pass S-filter with a nesting index value of at least 0.25 ?m. Also provided is a process for preparing such a biocompatible polymeric material using a microstructured template and a medical device that includes the biocompatible polymeric material.

Abstract: A setting tool includes a housing having an initiator compartment to receive an initiator for initiating combustion of a combustible element, a combustion compartment to receive the combustible element, and a switch compartment to at least partially receive a switch circuit for activating the initiator, a piston configured to impart a setting force against the plug in response to combustion of the combustible element, and an interrupt flowpath configured to connect at least one of the combustion compartment and the initiator compartment with the switch compartment whereby combustion products that may be created in the initiator compartment or combustion compartment would be circulated from the at least one of the combustion compartment and the initiator compartment to the switch compartment to disconnect the switch circuit in response to the activation of the initiator charge.

Abstract: A water conservation apparatus is connectable to a legacy irrigation controller to provide access to the irrigation controller to enable a remote user to selectively disable watering irrespective of the watering schedule programmed in the irrigation controller. The apparatus is connectable to the rain sensor of irrigation controllers having rain sensor connections. In irrigation controllers not having rain sensor connections, the apparatus is connectable to the common line of the valve control lines to selectively interrupt current to the valves. The apparatus is connectable to a Wi-Fi router to enable communications to a cloud-based server such that the apparatus is able to receive control signals from the server to selectively disable watering based on current and predicted weather conditions.

Abstract: The Invention is a Wireless Headphone System (WHS), comprising an adapter that is configured for use with headphones having dual connections for cables with one on each headphone. The invention uses that configuration to support a cable with connectors at both ends of the cable that is at least long enough to connect around the user's head between the ear cups of the headphone. Further it incorporates Bluetooth or other wireless electronics and may have a microphone for a full duplex conversation as well as controls. The preferred embodiment comprises a generally symmetrical cable that balances the mass of the device(s) along its length, which can also be used to share media with an additional headphone set that is also plugged into the device.
