  • Publication number: 20220098821
Abstract: A coupler for coupling an implement having first and second spaced apart parallel pins, to the arm of a vehicle. The coupler has a body for attaching to the vehicle arm, a first fixed jaw, a movable second jaw facing away from the first jaw, and an actuator to selectively move the second jaw towards and away from the first jaw. The first jaw includes a lip forward of the seat for the first pin. A first locking member is pivotable between a locking position, in which a portion of the locking member protrudes into the opening of the first jaw, and an unlocked position. A second locking member is pivotable between a locking position in which a portion of the second locking member constricts the opening of the second jaw, and an unlocked position. Movement of the second jaw causes movement of the first locking member.

  • Patent number: 10595206
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein describe multi-challenge, multi-level authentication systems, methods and products. Each authentication challenge may be independent of other challenges and may be associated with a particular network resource or functionality. Counters may track the number of attempts for each authentication challenge and each type of network resource and functionality. Each authentication challenge, network resource, or network functionality may be independently locked and unlocked based on the attempts tracked by the counters. Furthermore, the authentication system may configure the authentication challenges hierarchically, and a higher level challenge may unlock a locked lower level challenge. Therefore, embodiments disclosed herein significantly improve upon the conventional all-in/all-out binary authentication systems and methods.

  • Patent number: 8286283
Abstract: A patient positioning support for an operating theatre table (2) has a saddle (18) for clamping to the rail (8) which runs alongside the edge of the table and a pair of articulating arms (26, 32) attached to the saddle for holding a pad in contact with a patients body or limb. The devices are mounted in pairs and are lockable in positions which overlie the tame or lie outboard of the table or below the table when not required. The locking action is by friction but radial arrays of teeth (66, 68), which are locked by hand screws (62), give the preferred locking action. Other items of equipment such as arm boards, neural head supports and stirrups can be substituted for the pad.

  • Publication number: 20020038309
Abstract: A system and method for integrating one or more external systems, where the integration is achieved through the collaboration of an engine and one or more adapters. The engine can be configured with a set of rules that defines how messages are distributed among the adapters, and is responsible for enforcing those rules. Each adapter is associated with an external system. Each adapter is responsible for translating messages received from the associated external system into a common messaging protocol and for transmitting the translated messages to the engine. In addition, each adapter is responsible for translating messages in the common messaging protocol received from the engine and for transmitting the translated messages to the associated external system. Engines and adapters may be distributed among several computers.

  • Patent number: 4729316
Abstract: A projectile comprises a pyrotechnic charge and a mobile member inside the projectile which rotates between a safe position and an armed position. At least part of a pyrotechnic delay device is accommodated in a passage in this mobile member. The pyrotechnic charge is initiated via this pyrotechnic delay device. The passage is oriented so as to isolate functionally the pyrotechic delay device from the pyrotechnic charge when the mobile member is in the safe position. It functionally couples the pyrotechnic delay device to the pyrotechnic charge when the mobile member is in the armed position. The projectile further comprises an arrangement on the mobile member and on the projectile to guide relative rotation between them about an axis fixed relative to the mobile member and relative to the projectile. A mechanical arming device retains the mobile member in the safe position and against rotation about the aforementioned axis relative to the projectile at least until the projectile is fired.

  • Patent number: 4724765
Abstract: A projectile has a central part relative to the longitudinal direction of the projectile which is the direction in which it is fired. The projectile contains a pyrotechnic charge in the form of two identical operational charges. These are offset longitudinally relative to the central part of the projectile and symmetrically disposed one on each side of this central part. The projectile further contains a device for initiating the pyrotechnic charge subject to a time-delay. This device is accommodated in the central part of the projectile and adapted to initiate the two operational charges simultaneously.
