  • Publication number: 20240140446
Abstract: A policy map is obtained that includes of prescribed machine settings values for controlling a machine to perform an operation at different locations in the field. Sensor signals indicating conditions that will be encountered by the machine in the future, as it moves through the site. A predictive model provides an expected machine response, based upon the a future condition and a prescribed machine setting value. Adjusted machine setting value is generated based on the expected machine response. Control signals are generated, based on the adjusted machine setting value, to control a set of controllable subsystems.

  • Patent number: 11667326
Abstract: Operating a vehicle in an automated steering control mode wherein the vehicle includes a controller operatively coupled with an articulated steering system and a front axle steering system. The controller is configured to identify a desired path of curvature of the vehicle and determine a front axle steering angle of the front axle steering system and command the front axle steering system to operate at the front axle steering angle and also determine an articulation steering angle of the articulated steering system and command the articulated steering system to operate at the articulation steering angle. A further form includes operating front and rear ground engaging means at a designated speed, and thereafter operating the articulated steering system and the front axle steering system based on the designated speed being greater than a transport speed threshold, less than a field speed threshold or between the two.

  • Patent number: 10801935
Abstract: A work machine with a chassis, a wheel hub rotationally coupled to the chassis, a tire coupled to the wheel hub and configured to engage an underlying surface, and a controller communicating with a plurality of sensors and having a memory unit. Wherein, the controller stores tire data for the tire in the memory unit and the controller determines a cone index of the underlying surface of the work machine based on the tire data and the plurality of sensors.

  • Patent number: 7478688
Abstract: A suspension system is provided for a vehicle track assembly having a lower front idler wheel, a lower rear idler wheel, an upper drive wheel, a support link, a plurality of lower support wheels arranged between the idler wheels and mounted on the support link, and an endless belt mounted around the wheels. The front and rear idler wheels are separated by a length L. An upper belt plane is tangent to one of the idler wheels and the drive wheel and a lower belt plane is tangent to the front idler wheel and the rear idler wheel. The vehicle center of gravity is located a distance H above the lower belt plane. A suspension member pivots about a fixed pivot axis. The components of suspension system are sized and arranged to prevent the vehicle from diving or squatting.

The front and rear idler wheels are separated by a length L. The track assembly defines an upper belt plane which is tangent to one of the idler wheels and the drive wheel and defining a lower belt plane which is tangent to the front idler wheel and the rear idler wheel. The vehicle has a center of gravity located a distance H above the lower belt plane. The suspension system includes a suspension member pivotal about a fixed pivot axis. The suspension member has a first end coupled to the support link by a resilient member. The suspension member also has a second end pivotally coupled to an axle pin defining a rotation axis of the idler wheel, and pivotally coupled to an end of the support link.
