  • Patent number: 11767812
Abstract: An intake manifold for an engine includes an air inlet port and a false wall. The air inlet port has an interior surface partially defining a channel. The false wall also partially defines the channel. The false wall is flush with the interior surface. A chamber is defined on an opposing side of the false wall relative to the channel. A gap is defined between outer edges of the false wall and the interior surface. The gap establishes fluid communication between the chamber and the channel. The air inlet port defines an orifice configured to establish fluid communication between a fuel evaporative recovery system and the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20230228784
Abstract: The present disclosure provides self-centering assemblies, cartridges, pump assemblies, grippers, and other systems, methods, and apparatuses for manufacture of a cell therapy. A gripper includes a gripping unit and a gear unit for connecting and disconnecting connectors, tubes, syringes, or other devices that require twisting of a locking element for a successful fluid connection. In some cases, a gripper also includes a draw/injection unit to draw and inject fluid through the connections. A gripper can be operated by a robotic arm or other versatile manufacturing equipment.

  • Publication number: 20230102750
Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing one or more compiled workflows at a biological foundry are provided. A representation of an uncompiled workflow to produce engineering targets is obtained. The representation is translated into a first corresponding instance of a compiled workflow. If the translation satisfaction of various threshold translation criteria is determined, and the first corresponding instance of the compiled workflow is executed to complete a first portion of manufacture of the engineering targets. If the executing satisfaction of various threshold execution criteria is determined, the representation is translated into a second corresponding instance of the compiled workflow different from the first corresponding instance. If this translation satisfaction of the various threshold translation criteria is determined, the second corresponding instance of the compiled workflow is executed to complete a second portion of the manufacture of the engineering targets.

  • Publication number: 20220325219
Abstract: A docking device for receiving a portable device. The docking device includes a base including a substantially planar upper surface for supporting a portable device. The docking device includes an array of a plurality of engagement members. Each engagement member in the plurality of engagement members includes a fixed body protruding upwardly from the substantially planar upper surface of the base. Each engagement member includes a spring including a fixed end portion and a free end portion for engagement with the portable device. The fixed end portion interfaces with the fixed body. The free end portion protrudes from the fixed end portion obliquely towards the substantially planar upper surface of the base. The free end being movable along a deformable gap between a first surface of the fixed body and a second surface of the spring.

  • Patent number: 11198845
Abstract: A rigid cartridge for housing and removably coupling with a soft body bioreactor is provided. The rigid cartridge includes rigid walls defining a rigid housing. The rigid walls expose a fixed interior configured to house the soft body. An interior surface of a first rigid wall includes a first mating mechanism to engage a second mating mechanism of the soft body to removably coupled with the rigid cartridge and accommodate the soft body in the fixed interior of the rigid cartridge. A rigid wall includes a planar upper surface including an aperture. Each aperture is encompassed by an annular hood protruding upwardly from the substantially planar upper surface and integrally formed with the at least one rigid wall. The aperture is configured to receive and fixed engage a corresponding connector. Each connector includes a rigid coupling mechanism that provides communication with a corresponding plurality of ports of the soft body.
