    Abstract: A motor vehicle electric park brake system includes a hand brake lever mechanism in electronic communication with a park brake. The hand brake lever mechanism includes a brake lever pivotally supported to a mounting bracket. A biasing member exerts a torque on the brake lever as the brake lever rotates from a disengaged position to an engaged position to simulate a mechanical connection between the brake lever mechanism and the park brake. An adjustment mechanism is displaced to adjust the biasing member to change the torque on the brake lever.
