  • Patent number: 10146966
Abstract: Processing devices, methods and non-transitory computer-readable media for processing data are disclosed. The data comes from a contactless memory card. The device has at least one contactless memory card reader. Such a device also has: a keyboard for acquiring input data coming from an input peripheral; a processor for processing at least one sequence of a remote transaction initialized on the basis of data coming from a contactless card; and a switch or a cell for selecting a mode of operation that has at least two states. The at least two states are: a state, called an inactivation state, in which the processor and the at least one memory card reader are inactive; and a state, called an activation state, in which the processor is active and in which the input data entered through the input peripheral are controlled by the processor.

  • Patent number: 9672505
Abstract: A method is provided for verifying an authenticity of a payment terminal, implemented by using of a device for verifying authenticity. The method includes: transmitting to the payment terminal a request for obtaining a piece of identification data by using of a contactless communications interface; receiving a response, through said contactless communications interface and coming from the payment terminal, to said request for obtaining a piece of identification data; comparing a field of said response with at least one piece of pre-recorded identification data; when the field includes a piece of identification data identical to said at least one piece of pre-recorded identification data, for issuing an assertion of authenticity of said payment terminal; when the field comprises a piece of identification data different from said at least one piece of pre-recorded identification data, issuing a piece of information on absence of authentication of the payment terminal.

  • Publication number: 20170039401
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for processing data coming from a contactless memory card, said device comprising at least one contactless memory card reader. Such a device comprises: means for acquiring input data coming from an input peripheral; means for processing at least one sequence of a remote transaction initialized on the basis of data coming from a contactless card; means for selecting a mode of operation comprising at least two states: a state, called an inactivation state, in which said processing means and said at least one memory card reader are inactive; a state, called an activation state, in which said processing means are active and in which the input data entered through said input peripheral are controlled by said processing means.

  • Publication number: 20160048706
Abstract: A method for secure viewing on a screen of an electronic terminal includes determining a mode of operation, secured or open, of the terminal; and modifying the displaying of at least one indicator representing the mode of operation of the terminal. The displaying modification is controlled by at least one secure processor of the terminal and takes into account at least one predetermined action of the user on the terminal and/or of an expiration of at least one predetermined time limit.

  • Patent number: 9141793
Abstract: A method is provided for securing a microprocessor containing at least one main program, which operates with at least one memory. The method includes implementing counter-measures, during which additional operations, that are not required for the main program, are implemented so as to modify the consumption of current and/or the processing time of the microprocessor. The method also includes: identification of at least one address or one memory zone of the memory(ies), called critical addresses, and which contain, or which may contain, critical data for said main program; monitoring the addressing ports of the memory(ies), so as to detect the access to the critical address(es); and activation of the step of implementing counter-measures, when an access to the critical address(es) is detected.

  • Patent number: 7809959
Abstract: A countermeasure method for a microcontroller that executes sequences of instructions. The instructions are executed according to a pipeline method. At least one waiting time is randomly introduced between two consecutive instructions and/or within at least one instruction. The method is implemented by the electronics of the microcontroller rather than by software addition.

  • Publication number: 20040039931
Abstract: The invention concerns a countermeasure method in a microcircuit comprising a processor capable of performing operations one of which consists in processing at least a secret datum, said microcircuit including at least a non-volatile storage containing the secret datum or data, at least a work storage, said storage units being connected via a bus to said processor. The invention is characterised in that the method comprises injecting on the bus several random data between data derived from operations performed by the processor, said random data being designed to reload or unload the bus randomly. The invention is applicable to smart cards.

  • Publication number: 20030103625
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for calculating a control datum of a secret key algorithm with N bits, including N-N/n random and encryption bits and N/n checksum bits. The invention is characterised in that it comprises the following steps: encrypting a specific message of K bits using N/n encryption bits of the key; constructing a control datum by selecting N/n bits among the K bits of the encrypted message; integrating one of the N/n bits of said control datum in all the n-1 encryption bits so as to constitute a complete secret key of N bits. The invention is particularly applicable to the data encryption standard (DES), the control datum being constructed from a constant message.
