  • Patent number: 11562842
Abstract: An electromagnetic actuating device. The device includes an electromagnetic coil including a central recess extending in an axial direction, a cylindrical pole tube inserted into the central recess and provided with a magnetic separation point, an armature situated displaceably in the pole tube, the armature being movable by an actuation of the electromagnetic coil, the armature being mounted in the pole tube in a sleeve-shaped bearing foil inserted into the pole tube, the bearing foil including an inner side facing toward the armature and used as a sliding surface and an outer side facing toward the cylindrical pole tube. It is provided that the bearing foil is coated at least on the inner side using a first layer made of perfluoroalkoxy polymer. A manufacturing method for such an electromagnetic actuating device is also described.

  • Patent number: 5911366
Abstract: A perforated spray disk, particularly suitable for use in injection valves of fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines. The spray disk has at least one conical spray opening which expands in the direction of flow.

  • Patent number: 5862991
Abstract: When an internal combustion engine is hot, especially in hot starting or during hot idling, outgassing of fuel occurs upstream of the injection port disk and at the injection ports; as a result, because too little fuel is supplied, the running performance is undesirably impaired. The running performance of the engine is therefore intended to be improved by preventing the development of vapor bubbles. By the provision of a transfer element, in the form of a raised body shoulder formed on the valve seat body, that reduces the heat transfer between the valve seat body and the injection port disk, it is accomplished that the injection port disk cools down as a result of the extracted heat of evaporation of the injected fuel, and thus the danger of vapor bubble development at the injection ports or upstream is reduced. The fuel injection valve is especially suitable for fuel injection systems in mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.

  • Patent number: 5718387
Abstract: A perforated-disk carrier is provided on the fuel injection valve downstream of the valve seat surface, the perforated-disk carrier having an inner, dish-shaped carrier section into which a multiplicity of perforated disks with different dimensions can be inserted. To achieve this end, the cupshaped perforated-disk carrier rests partially against the lower end of the valve seat body exhibiting the valve seat surface and is rigidly connected to the body. In the installed condition, the perforated disk, which is selected in accordance with the corresponding requirements and is inserted in the carrier section, likewise rests against the lower end of the valve seat body. The fuel injection valve is particularly suitable for fuel injection systems of mixture- compressing, applied-ignition internal combustion engines.

  • Patent number: 5626295
Abstract: In an injection valve, a perforated disk made from a material of relatively great hardness. The perforated disk has a tensile strength of >800N/mm.sup.2. Spray holes are punched from a downstream side of the perforated disk to an upstream side. A stamping break-out, which occurs due to the greater brittleness of the material, has no negative effects since the perforated disk is installed in the injection valve such that the direction of flow of the medium is exactly opposite to the punching direction. The injection valve is particularly suitable for fuel injection systems of mixture-compressing applied ignition internal combustion engines.

  • Patent number: 5599466
Abstract: A method of making a conical spray opening for a perforated valve spray disk by electrical discharge machining. During electrical discharg machining by an electrode, particles are removed by flushing in a direction opposite the direction of electrical discharge machining and counterflushing by a second dielectric after the opening has been created in a direction opposite from the electrical discharge machining, resulting in the opening having a conical shape.
