Abstract: A centering bush for connecting and centering winder cores which stand on one another. The centering bush, in one embodiment, has first and second cylindrical parts on both sides of a median plane, of which the first part lies above the plane, and the second part lies below the median plane. The first and second cylindrical parts are adjoined on both sides by parts that are conically shaped towards a median axis of the centering bush. Projections in the form of sharp-edged spikes with rounded ends are arranged on the outer circumference of the centering bush in the region of the median plane.

Abstract: An end wall of formable material for a reel, comprising:a rectangular plate having first and second rounded corner faces, said first face facing the reel and having an annular cap, said second face facing outwardly from the reel and being stiffened by ribs, anda first, a second, a third, and a fourth side wall, said side walls extending around said plate at right angles to the first face thereof, said first and said third side walls being oppositely disposed and substantially smooth, said second side wall having grooves provided continuously over the length thereof, said grooves being perpendicular to the first face of the plate, and said fourth side wall having stacking bosses with central grooved portions on the surface thereof, and said fourth side wall further having recessed stacking pockets which alternate with said grooved stacking bosses.

Abstract: An end wall 1 is composed of a plate 11 which forms, on the front side, a flat surface with an annular attachment 35, whereas the reverse side is reinforced by radial ribs 5 and annular ribs 14. The radial ribs 5 are stiffened by webs 32 which run perpendicular to the plate 11. Further webs 33 reinforce rounded webs 17 of locking lugs 4. On the front side of the plate 11 is disposed a central plug-in peg 2 which is surrounded by the annular attachment. Three sides walls 13 of the plate 11 are provided with stacking lugs 9, 19 which delimit stacking pockets 8, 18 which are designed in a manner complementary to the stacking lugs. The fourth side wall 30 of the end wall has a corrugation 31 and, in the case of a wound roll packaged with the end walls, lies on a pallet. The annular attachment prevents contact between the edge region of the wound roll and the end wall thereby avoiding compressions in the edge region of the wound roll.

Abstract: An end wall having a front side which forms a flat surface while the rear side is reinforced by radial ribs and annular ribs. The radial ribs are reinforced by webs which are disposed within the ribs. A central push-in peg and locking bosses are located on the front side of the end wall. Corner surfaces of the end wall are rounded and are adjoined with the cylindrical locking bosses which have the same radius as the rounded corner surfaces. Three side walls of the end wall are equipped with stacking bosses limiting stacking pockets which have a shape complementary to that of the stacking bosses. At least the fourth side wall of the end wall has a grooving and, when a winding roll is packaged by use of the end walls, rests on a pallet.
