    Abstract: Substituted and non-substituted cyclodextrines are used as stabilizing agents for nanodispersions containing magnetic core particles M. The nanodispersions, which exhibit high saturation polarization with great biocompatibility, are suitable as transport vehicles for other pharmacologically and biologically active substances. The magnetic core particles of the nanodispersions are enveloped by compounds of the general formula (Ap, C, Bq), wherein A is reactive groups, B is bioactive groups and C is cyclodextrines.

    Abstract: The invention relates to magnetic nanoparticles, their production, and their use. The object of the invention is to provide nanoparticles capable of specifically forming bonds to intracellular biomacromolecules even in the intracellular region of cells, so that separation is possible by exposure to an exterior magnetic field. This is accomplished by means of magnetic nanoparticles having biochemical activity, consisting of a magnetic core particle and an envelope layer fixed to the core particle, and including a compound of general formula M-S-L-Z (I), the linkage sites between S and L and L and Z having covalently bound functional groups, wherein M represents said magnetic core particle; S represents a biocompatible substrate fixed to M; L represents a linker group; and Z represents a group comprised of nucleic acids, peptides or proteins or derivatives thereof, which group has at least one structure capable of specifically binding to a binding domain of an intracellular biomacromolecule.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a magnetofluid-supported electromagnetic drive for a blood pump for supporting or partially to totally replacing the heart whereby the blood pump in its weight as well as its energy density nearly corresponds to the natural heart and is especially suitable for an implantation whereby a reduction of the total system in comparison with known systems is to be made possible and the efficiency is improved at the same time. This task is solved by the blood pump having a magnetofluid-supported electromagnetic drive consisting of one or several electromagnets and force-transforming facilities and with the space of at least one electromagnetic circuit being completely or partially filled with magnetofluid, whereby the poles show permanent-magnetic properties. Thereby, a magnetofluid with a saturation magnetization of 150 to 450 mT has been used with an initial permeability of 5 to 25.

    Abstract: The invention describes a process and an appliance for separating non-magnetic materials and objects with the use of magnetic fluids. With this invention a restoration of the magnetic fluid adhering to the separated material is made possible, by removing the magnetic liquid still adhering to the separated product both through magnets as well as through water. The magnetic fluid in the separating chambers is constantly monitored as regards volume and concentration via a monitoring installation. An appropriate area of use for the invention is the separation of fragmented materials, the separation of capacitors in capacitators containing polychlorinated biphenylenes (PCB) and PCB-free capacitors. The invention described, moreover, the composition, manufacture and use of environment-friendly diluted magneto-fluids, which can be especially suitable in employment in the separation of non-magnetic materials using the sink-float process in the magnetic field gradient.
