Abstract: A carrier for a bricklayer's trowel is in the form of a leather holster with a pocket which is suspended from a hanger. The hanger is designed to be hung from the user's body belt. The pocket is V-shaped with an inclined edge along its upper opening so as to serve in orienting the tool in the holster. The pocket has a folded tab at the bottom to provide protection from the blade point and simultaneously provide openings through which a screwdriver can be inserted to dislodge hardened cementitious materials that inadvertently enter the pocket area. A leather blank with an integral arrangement of the leather parts other than a spacer used in the construction is shown.

Abstract: A carrier for a drywall taper's broad knife has a main pocket for the broad knife and an auxiliary pocket for a shear knife. The carrier includes three pocket wall forming components that are preferably made from leather. The opening at the upper end of the pocket is generally inclined and the arrangement is such that the handle of the broad knife comes to rest in a recessed upper edge portion at the upper end of one of the narrow side walls while the working edge of the knife blade confronts the opposite narrow side wall in the pocket structure.

Abstract: A flat trowel carrier has a main pocket for the flat trowel and an auxiliary pocket for another trowel. The main pocket is formed by a pair of pliable components. One component forms the back wall of the pocket and the other component has a pair of narrow marginal portions that straddle the opposite side edges of the back wall forming component and are fixed thereto at its back face. The front wall has a vertically extending wall strengthening and rib forming medial portion and at the top of the front wall, the pocket has a V-shaped opening which terminates at its lower end at the upper end of the rib forming medial portion.
