  • Patent number: 6789381
Abstract: A yarn splicing device with a splicing channel that can be charged with compressed air for the pneumatic connection of two yarn ends. The yarn splicing device has two rotatably seated prism elements, each of which is pivotable between a non-splicing position and a splicing position. The two prism elements are designed such that in the splicing position, a splicing channel is formed between them.

  • Patent number: 6679450
Abstract: A tube feeding device (12) for a work station (2) of a cheese-producing textile machine (1) with an arrangement for transferring an empty tube (14) stored in a tube reservoir (13) into a tube transfer position (II) in which the empty tube (14) can be accepted by a pivotably seated creel (19). The tube feeding device (12) has a tube gripper (24) which is automatically adjustable to the diameter and the shape of an empty tube (14) for displacing the central longitudinal axis (57) of the empty tube (14) during the tube transfer operation independently of the shape or the diameter of the empty tube (14) so as to coincide with the common axis of rotation (61) of tube receiving plates (58) of the creel (19) in the tube transfer position (II).

  • Publication number: 20030070411
Abstract: A yarn splicing device (10) for pneumatically joining two yarn ends (31, 32), with a splicing head (19) that is fixed on a foundation (22) and comprises a splicing conduit (20) with at least one opening (34) for delivering compressed air. The splicing conduit (20) comprises at least two additional suction intake openings (33) that can be loaded with a vacuum and are arranged on both sides of the opening (34) for delivering compressed air.

  • Patent number: 5738290
Abstract: An automatic package doffer of a textile winding machine includes a yarn engaging device and a travel limiting device. The yarn engaging device includes a pivot housing and a movably hinged yarn lifter head and is seated on a pivot and bearing shaft in a partially rotatable and axially displaceable disposition. A yarn catcher plate, clamping shears, and a yarn guide plate are disposed on the yarn lifter head. The yarn engaging device also includes a stop element for engaging the housing of a respective winding station for stopping movement of the yarn engaging device at a first predefined position with respect to the winding station housing. The travel limiting device includes a clamp assembly that is clampable to the yarn engaging device when at the first predefined position and guide rails attached to the doffer upon which the clamp assembly is slidably disposed. A pneumatic cylinder selectively causes the clamp assembly to clamp onto a braking tube that is part of the yarn engaging device.

  • Patent number: 5492280
Abstract: A pallet for transporting a textile cop or tube in a textile machine transport system accommodates tubes of differing inside diameters by providing at least three independently radially positionable support elements spaced circumferentially about a tube-support spindle and extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the spindle and at least one resilient element acting radially outwardly on the support elements. The support elements are formed as fins that extend through slots in the spindle and are acted upon by torsion bars springs which spring-load adjacent fins in alternation. When textile yarn tubes are mounted on the spindles, the retaining force of the spindle increases steadily and attains its maximum once the tube is fully mounted.
