  • Patent number: 5312299
Abstract: A grain flow measuring device having a sensor plate, on which a piezo-crystal oscillation sensor is disposed behind an impact surface, behind which an oscillation-damping foam material body is maintained by means of doubly folded-over edges of the sensor plate located at its edges. A retainer plate is seated and an amplifier and evaluation circuit with a readable counter is disposed in the foam material body. Grain flow measuring devices of this type are disposed in a harvester below a rocker tray near its output side, because of which grain losses and false measurements are avoided. Damping of the impact surface by means of the foam material body results is such oscillation damping that the determination of the grain mass results from the detected number of oscillations.

  • Patent number: 5305648
Abstract: The V-belt drive has a drive pulley (1) and a power take-off pulley (2) and an endless V-belt (3) rotating around both pulleys (1, 2). This V-belt drive is equipped with a torque measuring device in that an rpm sensor (4, 5) is assigned to both the drive pulley (1) and the power take-off pulley (2), which continuously detects the pulley rpm, the two rpm sensors (4, 5) are connected with an electronic control (8) which determines the gear ratio between the drive and the power take-off pulleys (1, 2) from the detected rpm, a calibration device (10) which associates a set gear ratio with a defined torque is connected with the electronic control (8), and the electronic control (8) is connected with an electronic evaluator (14).

  • Patent number: 5043861
Abstract: A circuit arrangement consisting of a computer processor from which a connecting bus extends and a circuit board is connected to a bus which carries switching amplifiers the outputs of which are connected via peripheral connector contacts to load circuits is shown. Threshold discriminator circuits and analog signal amplifiers are connected to the connector contacts, and the bus output signals are fed via the connecting bus the processor. The working of the load circuits and further attached signals are evaluated by the processor.

  • Patent number: 4942724
Abstract: A positional regulation of a mowing mechanism is effected in terms of height as a function of a ground pressure signal (SB) and in terms of swiveling in the transverse direction as a function of lateral ground clearance signals (SL, SR), the adjusting signals being carried to hydraulic valves (VT, VH; VL, VR).The goal is to increase the accuracy and freedom from fluctuation in the course of the mowing mechanism cutting height. The ground clearance signals (SL, SR) are used in proportion with the ground pressure signal (SB) for vertical position regulation. A linkage of these signals (SL, SR, SB) with further transducer signals and a method for automatic adaptation of the regulating characteristic by varying the hystereses and idle times of the regulators (V1, V1) is disclosed. The regulating apparatus is used in harvesting and threshing combines when low-height crops are to be mowed and when the ground is bumpy and soft.

  • Patent number: 4902264
Abstract: The grain-loss detector according to this invention usable in combination with a harvesting machine having an output passage comprises an impact plate having a front face exposed in the passage for direct contact by crop exiting the machine and an opposite back face and an electroacoustic transducer capable of converting vibration into an electrical output and having a side directly engaging the back face of the impact face. According to this invention the side of the transducer is retained in direct contact with the back face of the impact plate and electronic elements spaced from the transducer serve to convert the output of the transducer into a usable data signal.
