    Abstract: A packing is pressed against a surface of a cylinder by using at least one roller which is deployed and retracted with respect to the cylinder by an adjusting mechanism. A guard is provided for covering the roller. The guard is actuated by the roller adjusting mechanism. The guard covers the roller in the direction of the cylinder and is actuated with the roller.
