  • Patent number: 6141407
Abstract: A method is indicated for resolving performance feature interactions (FI) in a communication system with mutually decoupled switching control (BSN) and performance feature control (FN), having a plurality of performance features (LM.sub.i, LM.sub.j). The performance features (LM.sub.i, LM.sub.j) , which respectively act differently on different subscriber terminal units (A, B, C, D; Device.sub.A, Device.sub.B, Device.sub.C) are correspondingly divided into several roles (Rolle.sub.i1, Rolle.sub.i2, Rolle.sub.i3, Rolle.sub.j1, Rolle.sub.j2) that are taken on by individual subscriber terminal units (A, B, C, D; Device.sub.A, Device.sub.B and Device.sub.C.) in the course of the respective performance feature sequences. Before the taking on of a new role (Rolle.sub.i1, Rolle.sub.i2, Rolle.sub.i3, Rolle.sub.j1, Rolle.sub.j2), its compatibility with roles already taken on is hereby respectively tested.

  • Patent number: 5883952
Abstract: A communication switching system, composed of a performance characteristics system (LMS) and a base switching system (BVS), whereby the base switching system (BVS) has a basic call controller (BRS) for controlling a 2-party call composed of two connections communicating via messages with respectively allocated automatic status units, a database (DB) containing call objects (RO) and a plurality of performance characteristics control modules (LM-SB) available in exchange in the form of callable functions for the optional influencing of the call objects. Both the basic call controller (BRS) as well as the performance characteristics control modules (LM-SB) can access the database (DB).

  • Patent number: 5793761
Abstract: Communication system (KS) having a user facility system (LMS) for the realization of user facilities and having a switching system (VS) for setting up and clearing down connections between connected subscriber terminal equipment (TE) and for reporting switching-oriented events as well as user facility activation and user facility deactivation requests to the user facility system (LMS). The user facility system (LMS) has a plurality of user facility modules (LMB) and a user facility executive sequencer (LMAS) communicating therewith. The user facility modules (LMB) can call user facility development modules made available by the user facility executive sequencer (LMAS). Messages from the user facility executive sequencer (LMAS) about switching-oriented events occurring in the switching system (VS), is a facility activation and user facility deactivation messages as well as data input by subscriber terminal equipment (TE) are respectively communicated to a specific user facility module (LMB).
