Abstract: Bonded textile sheet materials having improved water vapor absorbency can be manufactured by bonding the sheets with polymeric binders and additionally impregnating these sheets with glycidyl ethers, chlorohydrin compounds corresponding thereto and/or reaction products of the chlorohydrin compounds with compounds containing NH groups, and drying the impregnated sheets at elevated temperatures and at the same time fixing the impregnants by means of compounds containing NH groups.

Abstract: Alkylene oxide derivatives based on tetrahydrofuran copolymers and having the formula R-X, wherein X consists essentially of a copolymer of tetrahydrofuran and a C.sub.2 to C.sub.3 alkylene oxide, R being the radical of a C.sub.8 to C.sub.22 alcohol or carboxylic acid or their oxyalkylation products with from 1 to 20 moles of said C.sub.2 to C.sub.3 alkylene oxide, the total amount of the alkylene oxide and tetrahydrofuran units in R-X being from 60 to 95% by weight and the molar ratio of the alkylene oxide units to tetrahydrofuran units being from 1:0.5 to 1:3. The new products R-X are useful as surfactants, textile auxiliaries and, in particular, emulsifiers in the one-bath finishing and pigment dyeing of textiles.

Abstract: A levelling auxiliary for dyeing fibrous material of polyamide fibers with acid dyes in the acid pH range in the presence of a mixture which contains (based on the solids in each case) from 30 to 90% by weight of a surfactant having sulfonic acid groups and from 10 to 70% by weight of an oxyethylated polyamide which has been prepared by the reaction of 1 part by weight of polyamide with from 2.5 to 3.5 parts by weight of ethylene oxide. Level dyeings devoid of streaks are obtained.
