  • Patent number: 7325835
Abstract: A method for producing a deflection element for safety belt systems in vehicles, includes making grooves in a flat metal blank, using an embossing tool, and producing a metal body from the flat metal blank, by means of punching and cold deformation. The metal body has an attachment opening and a belt eye having a belt surface that is rounded in cross-section, to guide a safety belt, whereby the belt running surface contains the grooves previously formed in the flat metal blank.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 6, 2006
Date of Patent: February 5, 2008
    Assignee: J&S GmbH Automotive Technology

  • Publication number: 20040084952
Abstract: A belt deflector on a seat, with a sheet-metal element connected with a seat sub-structure of the seat, which has a belt path surface structured as a saddle. The saddle has a ridge region that is rounded off in the belt path direction, and ears molded onto it in the crosswise direction, on the side, which are formed in sickle shape as lateral belt path restrictors, and are structured with rounded belt guidance surfaces in the belt path direction. The free ends of the sickle-shaped, formed ears extend over at least the border regions of the belt path surface.

  • Patent number: 6702327
Abstract: A set of structural components for reversing elements of seat belt systems in motor vehicles. The set is comprised of a one-piece metal body produced from a steel sheet by cold forming; at least one plastic adapter and a set of profiled elements having differently shaped profiles. These profiles of the metal body are coupled by pairs by a plug connection. The metal body, as a standard component, has uniformly fixed dimensions which do not depend on the concrete installation of the of the reversing element. This design permits the installation of a metal body in the B-post of motor vehicles. These profiled elements comprise plastic profiles designed as sight shutters whose shape is adapted to the concrete installation in a motor vehicle. With covered or half-covered installation of the reversing element, the edge of an opening located in the covering side of the body of the vehicle for receiving the reversing element permits the pivotal movement to be engaged by the plastic profiles from behind.

  • Patent number: 6637825
Abstract: A safety belt-reversing device on a vehicle seat, having a sheet metal body connected with a base construction of the seat. The sheet metal body comprises a surface on which the belt is running in the form of a saddle, and stiffening tabs connected on the face sides of the saddle, as well as foot elements projecting from the underside. A belt-guiding element, for example in the form of a bow, is arranged in the area of the ridge of the saddle above the surface on which the belt is running, for limiting a slot for the belt. The ridge area of the saddle is rounded in the direction in which the belt is running and, in the transverse direction thereto, has upwardly shaped ears. The foot elements in the form of sheet metal tabs are secured on a cross bar of the base construction of the seat so that the face-side tabs of the sheet metal body are spaced from the cross bar.
