  • Publication number: 20120118861
Abstract: A method for monitoring and/or regulating the quality of spot welds of a resistance welding gun includes measuring and storing measured values during the execution of resistance spot welds at different points on a workpiece. The measured values represent a voltage, a current, a resistance, a welding time, an energy, a force on welding contacts and/or an output during the production of a resistance spot weld. The method also includes comparing the measured values with a reference measurement value. The reference measurement value represents a corresponding voltage, a current, a resistance, a welding time, an energy, a force on welding contacts and/or an output during the production of a corresponding resistance spot weld. The method also includes outputting a warning message when, during the comparison, it is established that a predetermined number of successive measured values is outside a predefined tolerance band from the reference measurement value.

  • Patent number: 5596865
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for removing tablets or pills or the like issuing from a tablet or pill press and processing them further in a plurality of containers (125, 126, 127) standing cramped on a restricted area. After leaving the tablet or pill press, the tablets or pills are conveyed upwards and, by gravity alone without the application of further energy, pass from top to bottom through an oblique deburring and dust-removing station (12) and a distributing guide (15) to divide the flow of tablets or pills into two partial streams which are taken to either a metal testing device (18) or a tablet or pill testing device (19) with a sample collector (22); the tablets or pills found to be faultless are taken further by gravity to a belt conveyor (107, 112) which takes the tablets or pills to and inserts them in a predetermined container (125, 126, 127).

  • Patent number: 5439036
Abstract: A method and an apparatus is provided for the automatic testing of tablets or pills, discharging from a tablet machine (20). The tablets are delivered to containers (5, 6). Tablet batch samplings are removed from the tablet stream for performing a quality control function. The tablet batch samplings are tested and checked in a tablet checking device (15) according to preset quality characteristics. The containers (5, 6) are disposed on a scale (2, 3). The weight of the container including the contents of tablets is continuously measured. The weight is converted into an electrical signal, which is input into a computing and control unit (19) within the tablet checking device (15). An identification occurs for each container (5, 6). The identification is also input into the computing and control unit (19). Batch samplings are removed at preset intervals from the tablet stream discharging into the to be filled container (5, 6). The batch samplings are fed to the tablet checking device (15).

  • Patent number: 5012913
Abstract: A device for singularizing bulk material includes an elongated trough having a longitudinal axis and a discharge end. The trough has an arcuate cross section and is inclined so as to slope downwards towards its discharge end. The upper end of the trough is connected to a motor which is capable of rotating the trough back-and-forth on its longitudinal axis. In operation, the trough is rotated back-and-forth and the bulk material is introduced into the trough at the upper end thereof. Due to the inclination and back-and-forth movement of the trough, the particles of the bulk material travel towards the discharge end of the trough along zigzag paths thereby allowing the trough to be shortened. The back-and-forth movement of the trough also causes the particles to bump into one another and push each other aside during the course of travel so that effective singularization is achieved.
