  • Publication number: 20210245281
Abstract: Disclosed techniques compensate for variable forces applied to a brazing head in order to more accurately maintain application of a desired lateral force by a brazing wire, filling wire or tracking finger extending from the brazing head to a component. Orientation of the brazing head is determined relative to gravity and the angle of a movable arm of the brazing head relative to a support body of the brazing head. A lateral force value measured by a lateral force sensor is adjustable based on the determined orientation of the brazing head and the determined angle of the arm relative to the support body in order to provide a corrected or adjusted lateral force value. At least a portion of the brazing head is repositioned relative to the component if the corrected lateral force value deviates from a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 6952336
Abstract: A protective element safely dissipates overvoltages which is comprised of a parallel connection of a varistor and an surge arrester. To reduce the capacity of the protective element, the varistor is fashioned as a disc and arranged between a contact pins and the surge arrester. An electrical isolation between contact pin and varistor is ensured by an electrically isolated spacer, in which openings for electrical contact elements are provided to connect the varistor with the cup and the contact pin with the surge arrester. The surge arrester and the spacer are preferably fit positively into the cup.

  • Publication number: 20050030690
Abstract: The invention relates to a spring clip (17) having a clamping device (1) by means of which the spring clip (17) can be clamped from one side of a surge diverter (2) onto the latter, having at least one spring arm (3), having a thermal protective device (4) attached to the inside of the spring arm (3), and containing a fusible element (5). By attaching the thermal protective device (4) to the spring clip (17), a low melting temperature can be chosen for the fusible element (5). The invention also relates to a surge diverter array (2) with the spring clip (17). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for manufacturing the array.

  • Patent number: 6172865
Abstract: A module is provided which includes two gas-filled surge arresters arranged next to one another in a housing. An auxiliary discharge gap and a short-circuit device is associated with each surge arrester. One side of each surge arrester is in contact with a plate, which forms the ground, as well as the stationary electrode of the short-circuit device. On the other side, the plate is in contact with two varistors which form the auxiliary discharge gaps. A cap, forming the movable electrode of the spring-loaded short-circuit device is placed on each varistor with a meltable spacer between them.
