  • Patent number: 10618042
Abstract: Methods of making a Ce0.6Zr0.4O2 supported NiMg catalyst extrudate are provided. In some aspects, the methods include preparing a ceria-zirconia solution comprising Ce(NO3)3.6H2O, ZrO(NO3)2xH2O, and water; forming a precipitate; drying and calcining the precipitate to produce a Ce0.6Zr0.4O2; adding a nickel-magnesium solution to the Ce0.6Zr0.4O2 to produce the NiMg/Ce0.6Zr0.4O2; and drying and calcining a wet extrudate of the NiMg/Ce0.6Zr0.4O2 to produce the Ce0.6Zr0.4O2 supported NiMg catalyst extrudate. Ce0.6Zr0.4O2 supported NiMg catalyst extrudates made by the methods are also provided.

  • Patent number: 9815702
Abstract: Provided herein are systems containing a solar reactor having a mixture of plasmonic material and oxygen-conducting material that can convert carbon dioxide into a chemical feedstock.

  • Patent number: 8999283
Abstract: In one embodiment, carbon dioxide is converted into a chemical feedstock by providing a mixture of plasmonic material and oxygen-conducting material, exposing the mixture to sunlight so that solar energy is absorbed by the plasmonic material which then heats the oxygen-conducting material so that oxygen vacancies are generated, passing carbon dioxide through the mixture, and the oxygen-conducting material removing oxygen atoms from the carbon dioxide to form carbon monoxide.

  • Patent number: 4668168
Abstract: In an axial blower, a plurality of blades are disposed around a hub and each blade is supported on a respective strut which is rotatable in a pair of radially separated bearings. An axially displaceable disk in the hub is connected with the blades for rotating them. The drive shaft for the rotor is hollow and delivers oil to the disk which in turn delivers it to the rotation levers of the struts. The oil moves successively to the bearings radially outward of the disk and accumulated oil is collected by a scoop at the radially outer bearing. The collected oil is delivered to a collection chamber and is recirculated by a pump back to the hollow shaft. An additional cooling circuit may be provided.

  • Patent number: 3938684
Abstract: A self-propelled combine has an elevated grain tank with a laterally extending auger in the bottom of the tank for moving grain to an auger type discharge conveyor mounted on the side of the grain tank and swingable between a fore-and-aft transport position and alternate unloading positions wherein it extends outwardly and upwardly from the end of the grain tank auger. The discharge conveyor and grain tank auger are driven by a drive system that includes a clutch selectively actuated by the operator via a control lever at the operator's station and a drive shaft mounted on and connected to the discharge conveyor and connected to the grain tank auger through a pair of universal joints at the axis of articulation of the discharge conveyor. An interlock device is provided between the control lever and the discharge conveyor, so that the clutch can be engaged to drive the discharge conveyor only when the discharge conveyor is in its extended or unloading position.
