  • Patent number: 8413956
Abstract: A double-disc gate valve is provided, the shut-off or valve discs of which are displaceable from an open position into a closed position and vice versa by means of an actuator rod, there being associated with the actuator rod a locking device by means of which the valve discs, together with the actuator rod, are fixable in the closed position. The locking device is movable in the longitudinal direction of the actuator rod relative thereto from an unlocking position into a locking position and vice versa, the locking position being variable in dependence upon the closed position of the valve with predetermined maximum pressing force of the valve discs against the associated valve housing sealing seats.

  • Patent number: 6464764
Abstract: Solvent-free coating materials and treating agents used as water-based wood or material protective agents containing emulsifiable binding agents, quaternary ammonium compounds and optional additional active agents. The wood or material protective agents are non-flammable and enable a uniform distribution of the binding agent and the quaternary ammonium compounds in the substrates. As a result, the quaternary ammonium compounds function as a dissolving mediator for the binding agents which are dispersed in water without opacifying effects and are used as a biocide. The agents can additionally absorb water-insoluble organic biocides without impairing the homogeneity or stability of the formulation of the homogeneity of the distribution in the substrate.

  • Patent number: 6348089
Abstract: Compositions for the protective treatment of wood against rot and attack by insects which comprise at least the following components: a) 10-90 parts of coal-tar oil b) 2-20 parts of a biocidally active quaternary ammonium compound c) 10-90 parts of water. are described. The compositions according to the invention are easily preparable stable emulsions which are distinguished, inter alia, by good penetrability, strongly reduced odour of the treated woods, absence of annoying tar oil enrichments at the surface and strongly reduced “bleeding” of the treated wood at hot temperatures, considerably enhanced activity in spite of a lower coal-tar oil content and reduced toxicity compared to pure coal-tar oil.

  • Patent number: 5116022
Abstract: A double disk wedge valve the valve disk of which is movable by an actuating rod and is provided with a pipe bridge which includes two sealing rings connected by way of a compensator, said sealing rings in the open position of the valve being urged by elastic bias against the sealing seats of the valve housing, wherein said compensator comprises an inner pipe section and an outer pipe section extending in coaxial relationship therewith. The outer pipe section is fixedly joined, especially welded, to both sealing rings. Also, it has a circumferentially extending indentation. The inner pipe section is fixedly joined to only one of said two sealing rings while it is axially movable relative to the other one. Within the valve housing a gas pressure can be set which is higher than the pressure in the valve passageway in the open position of the valve.
