  • Patent number: 7483092
Abstract: A display module has a back-lit liquid crystal cell and is used in particular in an operating panel of a large domestic appliance. A particularly inexpensive structure is afforded in which the height-wise dimension of the module is affected by bracing a frame that mounts the liquid crystal cell and a light-guide panel under it against a circuit carrier whose surface on which the light-guide panel rests is in the form of a reflector surface. The circuit carrier has integrated conductor tracks and a receiving device formed therein for the light-guide panel. The frame can be fitted over the sandwich structure of the light-guide panel and the liquid crystal cell. Fixing as between the frame and the circuit carrier is effected by resiliently latching barb hook members, and with through-engagement of positioning studs or pillars. The free ends of which are subjected to hot peening for fixing the position thereof.

  • Patent number: 7215390
Abstract: A module of a back-lit liquid crystal display, as is used in particular in the operating panel of a large domestic appliance, is simple from a production procedure point of view, and is spatially compact and has close tolerances in regard to the installation dimensions. Further the module has good illumination of a transmissive liquid crystal cell, when a light guide panel is disposed in a trough-shaped reflector member and the liquid crystal cell is disposed at a small spacing relative to the coupling-out surface of the panel on the side walls of the trough-shaped member. A frame engages over the configuration in a cover-like manner and determines a height of the module in regard to its positively locking anchorage in the circuit board on which the trough-shaped reflector member then resiliently rests.

  • Publication number: 20020000434
Abstract: The insulating bottom (3) of a metal foil radiant heating body for a cooking hob is provided with a holding portion by means of which an insulating ring is secured under a glass ceramic plate to delimit the heating zone. By virtue of being secured to that holding portion (4), a particularly narrow inner insulating ring can also be operationally reliably fixed on the insulating bottom (3) in order to distinguish an inner from an ouster cooking hob portion.

  • Patent number: 6259069
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting the presence and/or the size of a cooking vessel (6) on an electrically heatable hotplate, having a resistance heating element (1) which is disposed under the hotplate and which is connected to an electrical heating voltage supply, wherein the resistance heating element (1) is used as a capacitive sensor for pot detection. The capacitance of the resistance heating element (1) in relation to a reference potential, preferably earth, is connected into an electrical resonant circuit whose resonance frequency can be detected by an evaluation unit, whereby it is possible to ascertain the presence and/or the size of a cooking vessel (6) on the hotplate. The resistance heating element (1) is connected to the heating voltage supply by way of electrical switching means, preferably inductors (DR1, DR2), and is connected into the resonant circuit by way of a further electrical switching means, preferably a separating capacitor (CN).

  • Patent number: 6051817
Abstract: There is proposed a heating conductor for a radiant heating body of a cooking hob, which is substantially formed from heating limbs (2) which are cut out of a metal foil or sheet in a geometrical pattern and inserted between the cooking hob and an insulating bottom (20). The heating limbs (2) have holding tongues (1) for fixing the heating limbs in holding portions (5) of the radiant heating body or in portions of the insulating bottom (20). The holding tongues (1) have substantially integrated fixing devices. Also described are certain advantageous arrangements and configurations of the heating conductors.
