  • Patent number: 10329401
Abstract: Deep black thermoplastic molding compositions having high gloss can be produced by mixing the following components: 90% to 99.5% by weight of one or more styrene copolymers as component A1, or 90% to 99.5% by weight of one or more polymethylmethacrylates (PMMA) and/or polyalkylmethacrylates as component A2, or 90% to 99.5% by weight of one or more polycarbonates (PC) and/or polyester carbonates as component A3, 0.01% to 5% by weight of a pigment black as component B, 0.1% to 1.5% by weight of at least two dyes soluble in the molding composition as component C, 0% to 5% by weight of one or more additives other than components B and C, as component D. These are found to be particularly weathering-resistant.

  • Publication number: 20190031857
Abstract: The present invention relates to a polyamide composition which is dyed in black, comprising a chromium-containing azo dye in the form of a 1:2 chromium complex, to the production of such a polyamide composition and to the use thereof for the preparation of polyamide molded bodies and fibers, which are dyed in black. The invention further relates to a method for laser welding using at least one molding part on the basis of such a polyamide composition.

  • Patent number: 6323279
Abstract: A thermoplastic molding composition having little intrinsic color is produced from a graft copolymer and a thermoplastic polymer. The graft copolymer is produced from a soft elastomeric particulate graft base obtained by polymerization of a conjugated diene alone or with a small amount of a monoethylenically unsaturated monomer, upon which is grafted a vinylaromatic monomer and acrylonitrile and optionally another monoethylenically unsaturated monomer. The thermoplastic polymer is a copolymer of a vinylaromatic monomer and acrylonitrile and optionally an additional monoethylenically unsaturated monomer. The thermoplastic molding composition has a low level of intrinsic color coupled with good mechanical properties and can be processed by, for example, extrusion, injection molding, calendaring, blow molding, compression molding, or sintering.

  • Patent number: 6111012
Abstract: Graft copolymers (P1) contain, in any desired sequence, at least (P1.1) a hard segment having a glass transition temperature of at least 11.degree. C., which contains at least one vinylaromatic monomer as the monomer or as one of two or more monomers copolymerizable with one another and a crosslinker component comprising at least dihydrodicyclopentadienyl acrylate as a crosslinking agent having two or more functional groups of different reactivity and at least one crosslinking agent having two or more functional groups of the same reactivity, and (P1.2) a soft segment having a glass transition temperature of not more than 10.degree. C., which contains at least one acrylate as the monomer or as one of two or more monomers copolymerizable with one another, and blends and thermoplastic materials contain said graft copolymers.
