  • Patent number: 8986295
Abstract: Herein is disclosed a planar electrode which includes two equally sized electrode surfaces. The equally sized electrode surfaces are electrically separated along a linear insulation zone and adjoin directly along an inner edge portion. The two equally sized electrode surfaces include, respectively, a band-shaped extension section, which encloses the other electrode surface along its outer edge portion and thereby is separated by the extended insulation zone from the respectively enclosed electrode surface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 16, 2006
Date of Patent: March 24, 2015
    Assignee: Nessler Medizintechnik GmbH
    Inventors: Norbert Nessler, Stephan Erbse
  • Patent number: 8545494
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for testing a neutral electrode (1) for use in electrosurgery, comprising a measuring surface (25) which is formed by a plurality of measuring electrodes (20), whereon the neutral electrode (1) is applied. Each measuring electrode (20) of the measuring surface (25) is connected to a replacement resistance circuit (70) representing at least one layer of the human skin, which is placed in thermal contact with at least one temperature sensor (90). At least one resistance of the replacement-resistance circuit (70) is formed by means of a blind resistance (54).
