  • Patent number: 7537292
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for regulating the brake power on the wheels (VR, HR) of a single-track vehicle, using a brake system comprising a wheel brake circuit (RBKVR) having a pressure modulator (RGCVR) for regulating the brake pressure pVR on a front wheel brake (54); a wheel brake circuit (RBKHR) having a pressure modulator (RGVHR) for regulating the brake pressure pHR on a rear wheel brake (54?); at least one control circuit (STKHBZ, STKFBZ) for controlling both pressure modulators (RGVVR, RGVHR); and a control unit (94). According to the invention, the brake pressure pHRnominal in the brake circuit (RBKHR) for the rear wheel (HR) is determined according to the brake pressure pVRactual detected in the brake circuit (RBKVR) for the front wheel (VR)—taking an ideal brake power distribution characteristic stored in the control unit (94) as a basis—and is regulated for the rear wheel (HR) by means of the pressure modulator (RGVVR) in the wheel brake circuit (RBKHR).

  • Patent number: 5850898
Abstract: A method and a device for the hydraulic actuation of a clutch operatively connected to a clutch receiver cylinder (6), especially for automobiles, are disclosed, in which, in a servo circuit (S), a servo pressure is generated, whichserves for the hydraulic governing of a clutch transmitter cylinder (2), in order to generate in a pressure circuit (D) a working pressure, which is applied to the clutch receiver cylinder (6), oris applied directly to the clutch receiver cylinder (6), in order to create there a force required for disengaging the clutch. According to the invention, the servo pressure for disengaging and engaging the clutch is adjusted in defined manner in the servo circuit (S), for which purpose the servo circuit (S) comprises a proportional valve (8, 8'). As a result, with technical equipment at low cost, an automated actuation with improved response and operational behaviour of the clutch is made possible.

  • Patent number: 5172046
Abstract: An electric generator is provided including a rotor having a surface with permanent magnets disposed thereon. A stator is provided having an electrical winding wound thereon in grooves in the stator. An air gap is disposed between the stator and rotor. The electrical winding of the stator is connected to a variable inductance. The value of the variable inductance is controlled by a control stage. The output of the variable inductance is connected to a rectifier which feeds direct electrical current to a current accumulator device, for example, a storage battery. The variable inductance is controlled by the control circuit such that the electrical current from the electric generator is maintained substantially constant for a particular load by the adjustment of the inductance of the variable inductance.

  • Patent number: 4726549
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable pressure modulator for anti-locking brake systems utilizes a variable lever-type transmission interposed between a pressure relief piston of the modulator and the compression spring biased armature of an electromagnet whereby the non-linear force/air-gap relationship of the electromagnet is converted to a linear variation of the force applied to the pressure relief piston for moving same. When a predetermined maximum brake pressure is applied to the modulator, the latter automatically isolates the wheel cylinder from the master cylinder.
