    Abstract: A medical bed including a base, a platform comprising several sections, and adjustment apparatus for adjusting the height, the longitudinal and lateral slope of the platform and the position of the platform sections with respect to each other. Also provided is a base having a main beam transverse to the platform which is mounted on the height position adjustment apparatus. The longitudinal slope adjustment apparatus is also mounted on this beam. The lateral slope adjustment apparatus of the platform is mounted on the longitudinal slope adjustment apparatus and the median section of the platform is mounted on the lateral slope adjustment apparatus.
