  • Patent number: 11340057
Abstract: A system to generate image representations includes a first objective that receives a first light beam emitted from a sample and a second objective that receives a second light beam emitted from the sample, where the first light beam and the second light beam have conjugate phase. The system also includes a first diffractive element to receive the first light beam and separate it into a first plurality of diffractive light beams that are spatially distinct, and a second diffractive element to receive the second light beam and separate it into a second plurality of diffractive light beams that are spatially distinct. The system further includes a detector that receives the first and second plurality of diffractive light beams. The first plurality of diffractive light beams and the second plurality of diffractive light beams are simultaneously directed and focused onto different portions of an image plane of the detector.

  • Publication number: 20220029314
Abstract: A contact apparatus having at least one conductive, elastic, structured contact unit that may assume a first state and a second state and may be brought by supplying energy, such as pressure, from the first state into the second state, is provided for a particularly rapid and simple electrical contacting with a ground potential of cable shields of electrical cables with different diameters. The contact unit is configured so that, in the first state, the contract unit has a preparation for detachably inserting a plurality of electrical cables, and that, in the second state, the contract unit fixes the cables and establishes an electrical contact with the cable shields of the cables.

  • Patent number: 10779386
Abstract: A guide device for at least one line, such as an electric line of a C-arm, has a rotatable first cylinder with a first cylindrical surface and a static second cylinder, adjoining the first cylinder in the axial direction and having a second cylindrical surface. A first guide element for guiding the line on the first and/or the second cylindrical surface, is disposed coaxially with respect to the first and the second cylinder and it is movable relative to the first and the second cylinder. The line can be wound up on the first and/or the second cylindrical surface or can be unwound therefrom depending on the movement of the first cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20060268408
Abstract: Provided are techniques for generating optical vector beams (e.g., radially and azimuthally polarized light) using passive or active phase stable optical interferometry. Techniques may split an input optical beam into at least two output beams, and then couple those beams simultaneously into a passively phase stable optical interferometer. Beam splitting may be achieved by a diffractive optical element and coupling may be achieved by a single refractive optical device (lenses) or by a single mirror device (e.g., parabolic and spherical). The interferometer may provide the ability to manipulate (or transform) the polarization of part of the wavefront of each beam, as well as the ability to manipulate (or transform) the phase of part of the wavefront of each beam, such that the beams when combined have a vector beam polarization state.

  • Publication number: 20060154380
Abstract: A nanocluster includes 1 to 7 metal atoms and has at least one ligand, which is associated with at least one of the metal atoms. A method of making a nanocluster consists of combining a nanoparticle, a ligand and a high boiling point solvent to provide a mixture and heating the mixture at a temperature of at least about 125° C. to form a nanocluster with 1 to 7 metal atoms. An ordered array of nanostructures includes a substrate and a plurality of nanostructures on the substrate, where the nanostructures are made by forming a solution of nanoclusters, depositing the solution on a substrate, and heating the substrate.
