  • Publication number: 20150054241
Abstract: In order to allow a wheeled vehicle such as a wheelbarrow to be rolled about a supporting surface and also to be elevated above the front wheel, a pair of handles is provided adapted to be secured to the ends of the handles of the wheelbarrow with the handles comprising rings disposed in a vertical plane extending through the handles and supporting inner rotatable rings or races bisected by handle members which are supported on the inner ring. In this manner the wheelbarrow may be propelled by supporting the handle members as extensions of the wheelbarrow handles and the load may be dumped by elevating the wheelbarrow handles so that the rotatable handles extend downwardly at a comfortable angle.

  • Publication number: 20130035218
Abstract: An exercise barbell comprises two separated pairs of rings, all lying along the length of the barbell in a common plane, each ring rotatably supporting a handle member which bisects the ring. The members of each pair are closely separated at their edges, or abutting one another, and are connected by very short bars extending on opposite sides of the center line of the bar. The two pairs are separated by a pair of longer bars disposed on opposite sides of the center line of the bar. Shafts extend outwardly along the length of the barbell from the outermost ring of each pair and these extending shafts may be rotatable, for gripping by the exerciser, and can support individual weights with center holes for surrounding the bar. The dual sets of handles allow a variety of different exercises to be performed with the barbell, most commonly by a user gripping the handle supported in either the two innermost rings or the two outermost rings of each pair.

  • Patent number: 8177690
Abstract: A handheld exercise device in the form a single nonresilient ball, or a pair of balls, which have a copper surface and have internal permanent magnets embedded within the balls which generate magnetic fields around the outer surface of the ball. The balls may be grasped in the palm of a hand and manipulated so as to combine the therapeutic effects of exercise, copper absorption into the skin, and magnetic field therapy.

  • Patent number: 7094186
Abstract: An exercise barbell comprises a pair of rings connected by a pair of curved bars. The rings rotatably support handle members. Extensions of the bar on the exterior of the two rings support crescent-shaped weights which conform to the outer diameter of the ring and to one another. The weights are relatively flat so the entire apparatus lies in a single plane. A straight bar connecting the opposed sides of the two rings supports a sliding weight which may be moved to one side of the bar or the other to allow asymmetrical exercises.
