Abstract: A cleaning implement that includes a connector for connecting a handle to a base block. The connector prevents the handle from rotating relative to the base block and, thus, the connector prevents the handle from unscrewing or otherwise loosening or disconnecting from the base block. The base block can include a headpiece supported between oppositely arranged shoulders, a generally cylindrical flange projecting from the headpiece, and a generally cylindrical opening extending through the cylindrical flange. A slot may be formed in an inner surface of the cylindrical flange. A ferrule that can have a generally dovetail-shaped projection provided on its outer surface can be secured to an end of the handle. The projection and the slot can form a joint when the handle is connected to the base block. This joint substantially prevents the handle from rotating relative to the base block.

Abstract: A cleaning container (1) for a cleaning device (4), which has a handle (6) and a cleaning head (5), in particular for a toilet brush, is described, wherein the cleaning container (1) comprises a main chamber (3) for the cleaning and storing of the cleaning device (4) and a secondary chamber (13), connected to the main chamber (3) via an access opening (16) and a device for the action of the cleaning fluid on the cleaning device (4) in the main chamber (3). In order to guarantee a clean and simple handling, in particular when the cleaning container (1) is emptied and cleaned, provision is made in accordance with the invention so that the main chamber (3) and the second chamber (13) are designed as separate container elements (2,12), which are connected to one another in a detachable manner.

Abstract: The invention describes a storage receptacle (1) for a cleaning device (4) that features a handle (6) and a cleaning head (5), particularly a toilet brush, wherein the storage receptacle (1) comprises at least a main chamber (3) for inserting and storing the cleaning device (4) as well as a closing and sealing arrangement that is coupled to the outer walls of the storage receptacle (1) in such a way that it can be pivoted from an open position into a closed position. According to the invention, the closing and sealing arrangement is formed by two shell elements (28a, 28b) that can be pivoted relative to one another. The storage receptacle (1) of the invention is characterized by the simple handling of the cleaning device (4) during its insertion and removal as well as by its appealing visual appearance.

Abstract: A monofilament with antimicrobial properties for use as bristle consists of an extruded polymer with silver particles which are dispersed in the polymer matrix, and is characterized in that the silver particles have a particle size which is predominantly between 100 nm and 10 ?m and are disposed along the cross-section of the monofilament with the particle size decreasing from the outside to the inside. The use of such monofilaments and brushes or paintbrushes having bristles of such monofilaments is also described.
