  • Patent number: 6820789
Abstract: A magazine with bolt-shaped fastening elements for a setting tool and extending sidewise of a bolt guide of the setting tool and including an attachment region (2) provided at an end region of the magazine (1) facing in the setting direction; and a washer holder (6) releasably attachable to the attachment region (2) and having a central axis that extends substantially coaxially with a central axis of a receiving bore of the bolt guide (3).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 27, 2002
Date of Patent: November 23, 2004
    Assignee: Hilti Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Robert Lipsky, Norbert Wohlwend, Robert Jakob
  • Patent number: 6702171
Abstract: A setting tool is formed of a housing (1) and an axially displaceable bolt guide (8) situated in and extending out of the leading end of the housing. A protective cap (5) is detachably arranged on the leading end region of the housing (1) and prevents abrasion of the housing (1) under conditions prevailing at the construction site and thus prevents wear on the housing (1).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 6, 2002
Date of Patent: March 9, 2004
    Assignee: Hilti Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Johann Büchel, Norbert Welte, Norbert Wohlwend
  • Patent number: 6685078
Abstract: A setting tool including a stud guide (2) located in the tool housing (1), a hopper (3) extending sidewise of the stud guide and having a guide channel extending parallel to a longitudinal extent of the hopper (3) and having two guide regions (4, 5), a displaceable drawer (9) arranged in the guide channel, a scroll spring (7) provided in the drawer (9) for retaining the drawer (9) in its initial position and having its free end secured to the hopper (3), a cover (13) for closing the hopper and displaceable along the hopper (3) between closed and open positions, the cover (13) having an element (14) for displacing the drawer (9) from its initial position to its transporting position in which the drawer (9) clears a section of the guide channel for insertion of the nail magazine, and elements (6, 20) for formlockingly connecting the drawer (9) to the hopper (3) in the transporting position of the drawer (9).

  • Patent number: 6491199
Abstract: A setting tool comprised of a housing (1), a handle (2), an axially displaceable firing device (10), an axially displaceable piston guide (11) with a cartridge chamber (13) and a guide channel for receiving and guiding a strip-shaped cartridge magazine (15) that opens into a discharge opening (4) in the housing (1). A length (L) extends between a setting-side inside wall of the discharge opening (4) and a setting-side front face (18) of the firing device (10) in the starting position so that a used cartridge magazine (15) can assume an inclined position relative to the longitudinal axis of the guide channel, after the last cartridge is fired. The length (L) is initially between 15 mm to 20 mm and then a length that corresponds to the greatest path by which the firing device (10) can be displaced.

  • Patent number: 6481608
Abstract: A power force adjustment for a setting tool has a housing (1), a mechanism for adjustment of power force using a adjustment wheel (13) rotatable around an axis (12) and a lever (5) pivotally movable around a pivot axis, the lever preventing any movement of the adjustment wheel (13) when in the locked position and when in the release position allows free rotation of the adjustment wheel (13).
