  • Patent number: 4460239
Abstract: A connector terminal for providing electric connection between the tab-like contactor of a fuse or a relay and a conductive path in a fuse box, relay box or the like having a multiplicity of conductor strips. The connector terminal has a base plate, opposing side walls standing upright from both sides of the base plate, slots formed in respective side walls to extend downwardly over a predetermined length from the upper ends of the side walls so as to divide respective side walls into first portions remote from the base plate and second portions adjacent to the base plate, respectively. A resilient contact piece extends from the upper end of the second portion of at least one of the side walls.

  • Patent number: 4453799
Abstract: A female electric connector for receiving a male contactor to achieve an electric connection to the male contactor. The female electric connector has an electric wire connecting portion and a receptacle portion extending forwardly from the connecting portion and having a box-like construction. The receptacle portion includes a bottom wall connected to and extending forwardly from the front end of the electric wire connecting portion, a pair of side walls extending substantially upright from both side edges of the bottom wall, and an upper wall constituted by a pair of upper wall parts extending toward each other from the upper edges of respective side walls. The side walls constitute a first pair of opposing walls of the receptacle portion while the bottom wall and the upper wall in combination constitute a second pair of opposing walls of the receptacle portion.

  • Patent number: 4451109
Abstract: A connector terminal for use in a junction block having conductor strips constituting the conductive paths. The connector terminal has a base plate, a pair of side walls extending from both side edges of the base plate substantially at a right angle to the plane of the base plate, each side wall having slots extending downwardly from the upper end thereof and adapted to receive a portion of the conductor strip, and a resilient tongue projected from the upper end of the base plate. The resilient tongue has a curved portion extending from the upper end of the base plate and curved to convex upwardly and a linear portion connected to the curved portion and extending obliquely downwardly toward the slots.

  • Patent number: 4429943
Abstract: An insulation box of wire harness connecting device for interconnecting a plurality of wire harnesses of, for example, wirings around an automobile engine. The insertion box is formed by molding in one body to have a plurality of passages adapted for receiving conductive strips constituting electric paths which are arranged in a side-by-side relation to provide connection between wire harnesses or to branch the wire harnesses into a plurality of wire harnesses. The insulation box has at least one connector fitting hole formed, for example, in the upper wall thereof and at least one aperture formed, for example, in the lower wall thereof, such that the passages receiving the conductive strips are exposed to the outside of the insulation box through either the connector fitting hole or the aperture at any point along the length thereof.

  • Patent number: 4415221
Abstract: A female type electrical connector produced by stamping and bending of thin sheet metal including a receptacle section and a wire connection connected to the rear end of the receptacle section. The receptacle section includes a tongue extending from the front end thereof and formed with a locking projection on its upper surface, and being pivotable on its front end for resiliently moving downwardly, and two side walls each having a curved wall. The curved walls of the side walls extend from outside the opposite side edges of the tongue and are curved upwardly to extend above the tongue, and terminating at free ends which extend longitudinally and are juxtaposed to the upper surface of the tongue. The locking projection engages a projection receiving portion of a male electrical connector to lock the latter in place when the male type electrical connector is inserted between the upper surface of the tongue and the free ends of the two side walls and held therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4395085
Abstract: A waterproof connector having a male and female housing parts adapted to fit each other and an "O" ring pressed between the male and female housing parts to effect a seal therebetween is disclosed. The male housing part has an inner sleeve on which the "O" ring is fitted and an outer sleeve having a larger diameter than the inner sleeve and substantially surrounding the latter, while the female housing part has a cylindrical wall defining an opening for receiving the male housing part. In the assembled state, the cylindrical wall of the female housing part is fitted in the gap between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve of the male housing part, with the "O" ring pressed between the outer peripheral surface of the inner sleeve of the male housing part and the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical wall of the female housing part.

  • Patent number: 4371230
Abstract: An electric terminal for facilitating the formation of a wire harness and attaching of the wire harness to an electric equipment in the production of the latter. The connector includes a flat terminal which comprises a ring-shaped flat terminal portion having a bolt hole formed therein, a tab projected radially outwardly from the periphery of the terminal portion, and a wire crimping portion projected also radially outwardly from the terminal portion. The base portion of the wire crimping portion constitutes a tab insertion opening for receiving the tab of another terminal, so that a plurality of connectors can be assembled together in such a state that the tab of one connector fits in the tab insertion opening of another connector. It is therefore possible to assemble a plurality of wire harness elements together before attaching them to a common electric connector bolt.
