Publication number: 20120052899Abstract: A wireless communication system includes a macro-base station device and a CGS base station device normally connected to a CSG terminal device. When a non-CGS terminal device approaches the CGS base station device, the CGS base station device reduces a frequency band for transmitting packets to the CGS terminal device so as to reduce interference with the non-CGS terminal device while increasing transmission power to the CGS terminal device so as to compensate for degradation of radio quality due to a reduction of the frequency band. Based on existence or nonexistence of a non-CSG terminal device in the coverage area, the CSG base station device selects an appropriate antenna transmission mode and an appropriate scheduler mode while setting the number of OFDM symbols utilized by a physical control channel in notifying radio resource allocation information.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 26, 2011Publication date: March 1, 2012Inventors: Xiaoqiu Wang, Satoshi Konishi, Noriaki Miyazaki

Publication number: 20080225927Abstract: In a transmission method of the present invention, when transmitting an information bit from a transmitter to a receiver, an encoder of the transmitter firstly inputs and encodes the information bit, and a modulator then modulates the encoded information bit to create a modulation symbol. A spreader spreads the obtained modulation symbol using a rotation orthogonal code having a rotation angle that is appropriate to a combination of the modulation method and the coding rate, and transmits it to a transmission path. The receiver performs a reverse operation of the transmitter, and decodes the information bit. In QPSK modulation where the coding rate of an error-correction code is ½, when a rotation angle that obtains a same signal point as OFDM is 0°, spreading is performed using a rotation orthogonal code having a rotation angle of between 17° and 45°, or between ?17° and ?45°, thereby reducing bit error and enabling highly-reliable communication to be achieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 15, 2008Publication date: September 18, 2008Applicant: KDDI CorporationInventors: Noriaki Miyazaki, Toshinori Suzuki, Fumio Watanabe

Patent number: 7317747Abstract: A receiver informs a delay profile and CIR measured in an FDE or a Rake receiver, together with a bit error rate of a received signal that is required in a receiver, as quality information to a transmitter. In the transmitter, based on the delay profile and CIR contained in the notified quality information, a number of code division multiplex and a frame format are decided in a decision circuit such that a bit error rate of a received signal, which is necessary on the receiver side, can be obtained. In addition, a transmission selection switch selects one of a unique word insertion unit and a cyclic prefix insertion unit that create a frame format for FDE reception and a pilot insertion unit and a complex scrambling unit that create a frame format for Rake reception, and data is then transmitted.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2004Date of Patent: January 8, 2008Assignee: KDDI CorporationInventors: Noriaki Miyazaki, Toshinori Suzuki
