Abstract: An information reproducing method and an apparatus therefor, by which operation guidance information may be automatically used without bothering an operator, includes a reproduction control unit for reading the operation guidance information depending on an event from a database when the event requiring measures taken by the operator occurs in an object apparatus to controllably reproduce the operation guidance information, and a reproducing unit, which is a terminal connected to the object apparatus to be able to manage the object apparatus, for reproducing the operation guidance information and notifying it to the operator. The operation guidance information about measures that should be taken to a condition of the object apparatus changing with a progress of the measures taken by the operator is reproduced at the terminal apparatus. These method and apparatus are applicable to a method and an apparatus used for reproducing various operation guidance information or multi-media information.

Abstract: One kind of housing has been formed for rear projection televisions of each screen size in inches and it has not been possible to change the size in inches for such a housing. This has reduced productivity and results in a cost increase. An upper cabinet and a lower cabinet of a rear projection television are formed separately. A screen and a mirror are provided on the upper cabinet. A main component portion for a television comprising video devices, driving and control circuits, an optical unit including a projection lens, and a light source is provided on the lower cabinet. Upper cabinets of different screen sizes in inches are assembled with a common lower cabinet to allow rear projection televisions of various sizes in inches to be easily manufactured.

Abstract: A light source for use in a liquid-crystal rear projector serving as a projection apparatus can be changed from a front to thereby improve a performance of the apparatus. The liquid-crystal rear projector serving as the projection apparatus includes a light source accommodating portion provided at a front for accommodating therein a lamp house having a lamp light source, the lamp house being of a cartridge type accommodated in the light source accommodating portion, and a handling portion disposed at a front of the accommodated lamp house for explaining how to exchange the lamp house.

Abstract: A projector for magnifying and projecting an image displayed on LCDs and illuminated by a light source through a projecting lens is designed so that the adherence of dust to the LCDs and the rise of the temperature of the LCDs is suppressed. The peripheral portions of the LCDs are supported by supporting frames. And, the LCDs are hermetically held by a front side glass and a rear side glass which are closely mounted to the peripheral portions of the supporting frames with an adhesive.
