  • Publication number: 20120080221
Abstract: A printed wiring board with components and its manufacturing method is described. An opening is formed from one main surface to another main surface of a core material. A functional element is brought into press contact with the side wall of the opening such that terminals of the functional element are exposed facing the core material's one main surface and the other main surface. A first and second interlayer dielectric layers are formed on the main surface and the other main surface, respectively, each interlayer dielectric layer having conductive bumps connected to conductive layers, with the interlayer dielectric layers filling voids between the opening and the functional element. A first terminal and a second terminal of the functional element are connected to respective first and second conductive bumps, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20100019433
Abstract: A first folding unit puts a first fold line on a sheet in a direction perpendicular to a conveying direction of the sheet and folds the sheet along the first fold line. A second folding unit puts a second fold line on the sheet in a direction perpendicular to the first fold line. A stamp unit aligns a side of the sheet by a reversing unit and a rotation angle of the sheet by a rotating unit based on reverse information indicating whether the sheet is reversed and a rotation angle of the sheet stored in association with a sheet size and a fold type in a storage unit, and puts a stamp on the sheet.

  • Patent number: 7503886
Abstract: A paper folding device having a function of alternately switching a bending direction to carry out folding continuously a plurality of times. The paper folding device comprises first and second pairs of folding roller pairs that bend a paper; a carry roller pair that feeds the paper to the first or second folding roller pair; and a biasing device for switching a direction in which the paper is bent by the first or second folding roller pair. The biasing device brings the paper into contact with one (lower side) folding roller of the folding roller pair on a side where the paper folds, and the paper to be folded is carried and folded. When paper is caused to enter a nip of the left folding roller pair by the left shifting device, tension is applied to the paper by a right shifting device. Thus, the angle at which the paper winds onto upper side folding rollers is adjusted.

  • Patent number: 7016090
Abstract: An ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) of the present invention includes a path for conveying a document from a scanning position, reversing the document to switch it back, and again reversing the document to thereby convey it toward a receipt tray positioned below a feed tray. Another path conveys the document away from the scanning position, reverses the document, and then conveys it to the receipt tray. Two path selectors selectively steer the document to either one of the above two paths. In both of a one-side mode and a both-side mode, the document is driven out of the ADF to the same receipt tray. The ADF promotes rapid conveyance and facilitates the removal of a jamming document.

  • Patent number: 6641132
Abstract: A sheet feeding device of the present invention includes a feeding mechanism including a belt and a reverse roller, and circular collars or similar spacing members adjoining the belt for spacing the reverse roller and belt. When a single sheet is conveyed from a nip between the belt and the reverse roller to a preselected position downstream of the nip in the direction of sheet feed, the spacing member spaces the belt and reverse roller with the drive of only the belt or the drive of both of the belt and reverse roller being interrupted.

  • Patent number: 5957447
Abstract: A system and method for feeding paper into an image forming device which allows sheets of paper to be manually fed without becoming jammed. The paper feeding cassette uses one or more corner separators which hold down the corner(s) of the paper in the cassette while a feed roller rotates. The rotation of the feed roller in combination with the corner separators causes one sheet of paper to be removed from the paper cassette. During a manual feed operation in which a user manually feeds a single sheet of paper, a guide plate deflects the manually fed sheet of paper above the corner separators, thus preventing the sheet of paper from becoming jammed under the corner separators.

  • Patent number: 5718313
Abstract: A clutch mechanism for selectively setting up or interrupting the delivery of a drive force in accordance with a direction and an amount of rotation of a shaft is disclosed. The mechanism includes a clutch gear rotated by the rotation of a motor. A slide cam is supported by a clutch shaft in such a manner as to be unrotatable relative to the shaft. Ratchet portions respectively provided on the clutch gear and slide cam are selectively coupled or uncoupled in accordance with the direction of rotation, thereby setting up or interrupting drive transmission. A cam portion is formed integrally with the slide cam and releases the ratchet portions when a pin is brought to a preselected position on a cam surface. A cam lever selectively moves the pin toward or away from the cam surface in accordance with the direction of rotation of the clutch gear. The drive source can be shared by a driveline for rotating a shaft to a preselected angular position and other drivelines.
