Abstract: A control apparatus for controlling a photographing system, the photographing system includes: a ranging sensor to measure distances of each to-be-photographed objects associated with each of a plurality of regions, the plurality of to-be-photographed objects include a first target object, the first target object is associated with a first region and a first distance; and a photographing apparatus. The control apparatus is configured to: cause the photographing apparatus to perform focus control on the first target object based on the first distance, control the photographing apparatus to obtain a plurality of images, determine, based on the plurality of images, whether a second target object is in the first region, the second target object being a moving object in the first region; and cause the photographing apparatus to perform different focus controls on the first region based on whether or not the second target object is present in the first region.
