  • Patent number: 11136946
Abstract: An EGR gas distributor includes an inflow portion into which EGR gas that has passed through an EGR valve flows, a first EGR port connected to a section of the intake manifold in which intake air introduced into the first cylinder flows, a second EGR port connected to a section of the intake manifold in which intake air introduced into the second cylinder flows, a first gas passage that connects the inflow portion and the first EGR port to each other, and a second gas passage that connects the first gas passage and the second EGR port to each other. A shortest path between the first EGR port and the second EGR port is longer than both of a shortest path between the inflow portion and the first EGR port and a shortest path between the inflow portion and the second EGR port.

  • Patent number: 9964079
Abstract: An intake manifold includes a surge tank, and an intake passage part. An inner surface of the intake passage part includes: an inner peripheral region which is located inner side of the intake passage part in a curvature radius direction; an outer peripheral region which is located outer side of the intake passage part in a curvature radius direction; a first lateral region; and a second lateral region. The outer peripheral region includes a first inclined region, a second inclined region, and a bottom region. When seen in the section orthogonal to a center axis of the intake passage part, the first and second inclined region are curved so as to be convex outward from the intake passage part at a curvature radius. The bottom region has a shape convex outward from the intake passage part in the direction of the curvature radius.

  • Patent number: 9835051
Abstract: A gas passage that is connected to an exhaust passage and a water passage that is connected to a water jacket are formed in a turbine housing. The water passage and the gas passage are arranged adjacent to each other in an exhaust gas-introducing side joint part of the turbine housing, and a mating face in which the water passage opens and a mating face in which the gas passage opens are formed not to connect smoothly to each other. The turbine housing is attached to the cylinder head with an O-ring that prevents leakage of coolant interposed between the mating face and the cylinder head, and a seal member that prevents leakage of exhaust gas interposed between the mating face and the cylinder head.

  • Patent number: 9175578
Abstract: A turbocharger includes a drive shaft to transmit a driving force of an actuator to a mechanism in the turbo housing, and a bush to rotatably support the drive shaft, wherein a seal is provided at an end portion on the open-air side of the bush. The seal includes a seal body made of resin and a metallic spring fitted into a recessed portion of the seal body, wherein an internal lip portion of the seal body is pressed by the elastic force of the spring to the outer circumferential surface of the drive shaft. Further, an end surface that is contactable with a member (drive link) disposed on the open-air side of the drive shaft is formed in the seal body.

  • Patent number: 8919122
Abstract: A compressor housing includes a housing body for enclosing an impeller, an inlet portion for introducing air toward the impeller, and a port portion arranged adjacent to the inlet portion. A valve body for opening and closing a bypass passage, which bypasses the impeller, can be rested against the port portion. A connection hole, to which a return passage for returning blow-by gas of an internal combustion engine is connected, is formed in a side wall of the inlet portion. The inlet portion and the port portion have a common wall. A communication hole, which configures a part of the return passage, is formed in the common wall. The communication hole is formed such that the projection plane defined by projecting the communication hole onto a surface of the side wall having the connection hole along the axis of the communication hole is contained in the connection hole.
