  • Patent number: 10067345
Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a head-up display device with which the display quality of a display object can be improved. A mirror holder 30 supporting a concave mirror is equipped with a protruding piece that protrudes from the approximate center of the holder width, which is defined along a rotational axis, and this protruding piece is moved by a position adjustment means. Stress acting on the mirror holder from the protruding piece is uniform in the left and right directions from the center of the mirror holder. Consequently, twisting at the location of the mirror holder is significantly reduced, so the driver is able to view a display object for which distortion has been suppressed, and the display quality of the display object is improved.

  • Patent number: 9864197
Abstract: A display device includes: a stepping motor; a concave mirror that moves in accordance with the operation of the stepping motor, the concave mirror reflecting display light emitted from a display unit toward the windshield; a lever part that moves together with the concave mirror; a drive unit for driving the stepping motor by a microstep drive system; a control unit for controlling the movement of the concave mirror by controlling the drive unit; and a stopper unit provided within the range of movement of the lever part. The drive unit is configured to detect the counter-electromotive force generated by the stepping motor when the lever part comes into contact with the stopper unit. The control unit determines the reference position when the movement of the concave mirror is controlled in accordance with the counter-electromotive force detected by the drive unit.

  • Patent number: 9772493
Abstract: Provided is a head-up display device such that shaking of a display image due to vibration can be mitigated. This head-up display device, which reflects display light output from a display unit with a reflection unit so as to produce an image to be viewed, includes a first supporting part for supporting the reflection unit rotatably about a rotation axis and a first supported part provided at one end of the reflection unit and supported by the first supporting part. The first supported part has a spherical surface formed thereon, and the first supporting part has a sliding surface that is formed therein and is in substantially point contact or line contact with the spherical surface formed on the first supported part. A first elastic member that presses the first supported part and the first supporting part against each other in the rotation axis direction is provided.

  • Patent number: 9581806
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to cut down the travel distance of a display image on receiving a stop instruction intended for a stepping motor and thereby reduce a feeling of strangeness perceived by a user. A display device allows a user to view the image displayed on a display at a prescribed display position. The display device comprises: a stepping motor having a rotor including a magnet and driven by a micro-step drive method; a reflector which moves in accordance with the rotation of the rotor in the stepping motor so as to move the display position; and a motor control device. The motor control device identifies a rotational position of the rotor between adjacent stable excitation positions, and moves the rotor to reach the closer of the stable excitation positions on the basis of the identified rotational position on receiving a stop instruction intended for the stepping motor.
