  • Patent number: 5525568
Abstract: A method for producing a supported metallic catalyst capable of increasing the number of active points in the metallic catalyst supported at surface of a supporter and of using with high activity and stability, wherein metallic particles in a form of ions or atomic particles composed of several atoms are generated by an ion injecting apparatus, the metallic particles are collided, adsorbed, and supported by the supporter, and the supported metallic catalyst is made by manufacturing the adsorbing sites, and by adsorbing and supporting the metallic catalyst, concurrently.

  • Patent number: 4407904
Abstract: A fuel cell comprises unit cells stacked through separators therebetween; each unit cell comprising a fuel electrode plate, an oxidizing agent electrode plate and a matrix between electrode plate and the oxidizing agent plate, U-shaped gas flow passages for the fuel electrode and for the oxidizing agent electrode are provided in a counter-current relation to each other with gas inlets and gas outlets for the fuel electrode and the gas inlets and the gas outlets for the oxidizing agent electrodes being provided at the opposite sides of the fuel cell, respectively, and communicated respectively with manifolds at the same opposite sides of the fuel cell. The fuel cell is simple in structure, highly reliable in fabrication, operation and maintenance, and high in gas utilization efficiency.

  • Patent number: 4277746
Abstract: In a gas-insulated electric apparatus, such as a gas-insulated switchgear and a gas-insulated bus, having an insulating-gas-filled metallic container or sheath within which an electric conductor carrying a high-voltage current is supported by an insulating supporter, a potential detected by a first potential detector through at least a portion of the insulating supporter and another potential detected as a reference value by a second potential detector through an electro-static capacity disposed between the metallic container and the second potential detector are fed to the inputs of a differential amplifier of a partial discharge detecting device to thereby detect possible partial discharges along the insulating supporter with high sensitivity.
