    Abstract: A jig for loosening electric wires of a wire harness passed through a grommet is disclosed. The jig includes a fixing-side clamping portion for clamping the one end of a wire harness, a guide rail extending in a longitudinal direction of the wire harness, a bearing slidably engaged with the guide rail; a lock portion for locking said bearing to the guide rail, a circular rotating member, supported by said bearing, for rotating the wire harness in a circumferential direction of the wire harness; and a movable-side clamping portion, integrally attached to the rotating member, for clamping the other end of the wire harness. The rotating member may have a spiral cam groove, and the bearing may have an engagement protrusion to be engaged with the cam groove so that when the one clamping portion is inverted, the rotating member can move in its longitudinal direction. The one clamping portion may include a rachet mechanism.

One clamping portion of the jig is rotated to twist the wire harness and thereafter inverted to loose it. Otherwise, the one clamping portion is moved in a direction of compressing the wire harness.     Abstract: A flat wire harness attaching unit for installing a flat wire harness onto a vehicle body. The flat wire harness is composed of a plurality of wires covered with synthetic resin insulation which wires are bundled and united into a flat integral structure by melting the synthetic resin insulation. The wire harness attaching unit has a clip section and an attaching section. The clip section is provided for association with a vehicle body side whereas the attaching section is made of a material capable of being made integral with the synthetic resin insulation through fusion to be secured to one of the surfaces of the flat wire harness. The clip section may be integral with or separate from the attaching section.

    Abstract: A locking mechanism has an engagement hole formed in each side portion of a lid, an engagement projection formed on each side wall of a body for engagement with a corresponding engagement hole, holding plates disposed on a lid portion so as to hold the corresponding engagement projections toward the engagement holes in the adjacent side portions, and projections projecting from the edge surfaces of the respective side walls for engagement with corresponding holes formed in the lid portion. If a force acting to open the lid is externally applied, forces acting to press the engagement projections toward the corresponding engagement holes act upon the edge portions of the respective projections which project from the edge surfaces of the respective side walls of the body. Accordingly, the body and the lid can be made to positively lock into each other.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a strands protector which comprises a U-shaped housing having a three-dimensionally bent bottom wall and side walls upstanding from the bottom wall, and a cover member connected by a hinge to the housing to close the opening of the housing and releasably secured to the housing by locking means. The cover member includes a hinge at a position corresponding to the location of the bent portion of the bottom wall of the housing.Also disclosed is a locking mechanism which comprises a locking arm provided on one of two hinge-connected members and an arm-engaging receptacle provided on the other member. The locking arm has an end projection adapted to be inserted in a central hole of the receptacle to secure the two members together, and the receptacle has a projection insertion cutout at a position where interference occurs between the projection of the locking arm and the receptacle when one of these two members is superposed on the other.

    Abstract: A flat wire harness attaching unit comprises an attaching plate with a clip vertically projecting therefrom to be insertedly fixed into a hole in an automobile, a base plate with a catch member also vertically projecting therefrom to be engaged with the clip, and a laminated sheet capable of being compositely fixed to an insulating cover of a harness to be clamped between the attaching plate and the base plate. The unit is characterized in that support shoulders provided in a catch hole of the clip are formed in bridge-like shape, having a strength with the degree of which in the case that the catch member is forcibly pulled down, a bifurcated claw provided on the catch member is not damaged although the support shoulders are destroyed, so that the harness can be relocated and reused.
