  • Publication number: 20090083823
Abstract: An antenna switch including: a first input terminal that receives a terrestrial television broadcast signal as input; a second input terminal that receives a community antenna television broadcast signal as input; an output terminal that outputs the terrestrial television broadcast signal and the community antenna television broadcast signal; a signal selector switch that switches connection to either between the first input terminal and the output terminal or between the second input terminal and the output terminal in accordance with a switch select signal supplied from a predetermined control unit; and an amplifier that amplifies the terrestrial television broadcast signal and is interposed between the first input terminal and the signal selector switch.

  • Patent number: 7133081
Abstract: In an analog terrestrial mode of a TV having analog and digital capability, the RF gain is controlled using the TV's demodulator output. In a digital cable mode the RF gain is controlled using the output of the TV's IF SAW filter, and in an analog cable mode the RF gain is controlled using the output of an analog demodulator.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 12, 2006
Date of Patent: November 7, 2006
Assignees: Sony Corporation, Sony Electronics Inc.

  • Patent number: 7043750
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for combining signals in a cable set-top box or television receiver. An out-of-band upstream amplifier and a cable modem upstream amplifier have their outputs combined at a combiner before being passed to the cable through a diplexer. The output of the diplexer provides incoming signals for an in-band tuner, a cable modem tuner and an out-of-band tuner that can be passed through a low noise amplifier before passing through a three-way splitter to divide the signals to each of the tuners.
