  • Patent number: 8679638
Abstract: A blade rubber having both of superior durability and wiping performance can be manufactured by using a non-diene-based rubber without environmental burden. A pair of blade-rubber molded bodies molded from the non-diene-based rubber is subjected to an irradiation treatment to generate radical active sites, and monomers are bound by graft polymerization as beginning at the radical active sites. Also, the monomers are adhered on a surface of the blade rubber either before or after the generation of the radical active sites. The irradiation treatment and the graft polymerization may be simultaneously performed or independently performed in this order. In this manner, a surface treatment for reducing friction of the non-diene-based rubber having superior durability can be performed without halogen, and therefore, a blade rubber having superior durability and wiping performance can be manufactured.

  • Patent number: 8227522
Abstract: A surface-modified blade rubber includes a surface modified by being subjected to irradiation treatment that generates radical active sites in the blade rubber and polymerization for graft polymerization starting from a generated radical active site. A method for modifying a blade rubber surface includes subjecting rubber of a blade rubber to irradiation treatment that generates radical active sites and polymerization for graft polymerization starting from a generated radical active site.

  • Publication number: 20080271277
Abstract: A rubber product for wiping, a rubber for a wiper blade, a method for producing a rubber for a wiper blade, and a wiper unit. The rubber product for wiping, for example, includes a hydrophilic gel-like surface treatment layer coated on at least a wiping surface of the rubber product, wherein the wiping surface is softer due to water absorption when moistened than when dried.

  • Publication number: 20060269179
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an oil-impregnated sintered sliding bearing which has a large amount of the lubricating oil as a bearing element which has long life, has a small amount of scattered and lost lubricating oil, has a simple structure, and takes up a small space for a bearing. An oil-impregnated sintered sliding bearing includes: an axis; plural porous sintered compacts joined with each other by sizing; a cavity between the sintered compacts at an axial direction center portion; and a gap which continuously extends from an end portion of the cavity and has a width narrower than the cavity, wherein the gap opens to an end surface or a peripheral surface of the bearing.
