  • Patent number: 11402086
Abstract: One purpose is to smoothly raise and lower a telescopic post used in a floodlight. There is provided a floodlight that includes: a telescopic post that has a plurality of posts whose outer diameters are made gradually smaller, into which the posts can be loosely fitted, and that can be extended and contracted in an up-down direction; a lighting unit attached to the post located on the innermost side; a raising and lowering unit that extends and contracts, in the up-down direction, the posts in conjunction with each other; a base that the post located on the outermost side is fixed to; and dampers that connect a side surface of the post located on the outermost side and a side surface of the post located on the second outermost side.

  • Publication number: 20210317973
Abstract: One purpose is to smoothly raise and lower a telescopic post used in a floodlight. A floodlight according to the present invention includes: a telescopic post 2 that has a plurality of posts 21 to 25 whose outer diameters are made gradually smaller, into which the posts 21 to 25 can be loosely fitted, and that can be extended and contracted in an up-down direction; a lighting unit 3 attached to the post 25 located on the innermost side; a raising and lowering unit 26 that extends and contracts, in the up-down direction, the posts 21 to 25 in conjunction with each other; a base 4 that the post 21 located on the outermost side is fixed to; and dampers 27a, 27b that connect a side surface of the post 21 located on the outermost side and a side surface of the post 22 located on the second outermost side.

  • Publication number: 20100246187
Abstract: A floodlight including an electronic ballast which makes the floodlight easier to handle. A floodlight 1 comprises: a base 5; a telescopic mast 4 having a proximal end connected with said base 5; a lighting device 2 provided at a distal end of said mast 4; and an electronic ballast 3 that stabilizes electric power and feeds the stabilized electric power to said lighting device 2. The lighting device 2 includes a lamp 21 and a holding assembly 20 that holds said lamp 21, while the electronic ballast 3 is installed in said holding assembly 20.

  • Publication number: 20100187375
Abstract: A telescopic supporting column and a floodlight using the same with enhanced maneuverability. The telescopic supporting column includes a mast that is made telescopic by inserting two or more tubular columns sequentially in a nested manner; and a braking mechanism for moderately retracting said mast. The braking mechanism includes a pressure-regulating portion provided in a proximal tubular column as a proximal end of said mast; a closing portion provided in a distal tubular column as a distal end thereof; and an air chamber formed inside said mast by partitioning off said portions. The pressure-regulating portion includes: first and second vent holes communicating said air chamber with an exterior; and a valving element closing said second vent hole in a manner capable of opening and closing said second vent hole only.

  • Patent number: 7264382
Abstract: A light projector includes a power generator 6; a bogie 1 for mounting the power generator 6; an extendable or retractable supporting column 2 vertically installed at the bogie 1; a balloon 4 arranged at an upper end of the extendable or retractable supporting column 2; and a lighting instrument 3 stored in the balloon 4, wherein the power generator 6 and the lighting instrument 3 can be electrically energized. The lighting instrument 3 is lit through supply of electricity from the power generator 6 installed at the bogie 1 and the light thus generated is changed into a soft-feeling light through the balloon 4 so as to enable the light to be projected in an outward entire circumferential direction of the balloon 4. Thus, even if the light projector is used as a night-time lighting for a road work and the like, the light of the lighting instrument can be radiated in a wide range without causing a driver of a passing vehicle to feel its glaring effect.

  • Patent number: 7234847
Abstract: A projector (1) enabling the extension/retraction of a column even when the column is rotated, including the telescopic column (4) installed on a carrier (6) as a base, a lifting and lowering device (21) installed in the column (4), a lighting apparatus (2) installed at the tip of the column (4), and a power supply (5) for supplying power to the lighting system (2). The column (4) is formed of circular tubes and rotated in conjunction with the lifting and lowering device (21). Also, the column (4) is formed by loosely fitting, to each other, a first column (13) fixed to the carrier (6) and second and third columns (4a) and (4b) having outer diameters reduced in that order less than that of the first column (13). The second and third columns (4a) and (4b) are loosely fitted to each other so as to be moved in the vertical direction and rotated in conjunction with each other.
